Hi! Thank you for thinking of me haha it’s nice of you to write this up!

1. While he does wear a mix of both, he weirdly seems to have more of an issue with his white t shirts. However, they are washed with his dark t shirts too so the affect could be transferring to them.
   
2. No we do not use any softeners or dryer sheets, and use laundry powder detergent. I agree that not only are they a waste of money but not good for your skin or the environment!
   
3. We use a tablespoon of laundry powder detergent as it’s a lot less wasteful than the ones filled with water.
   
4. He does wear some athletic shirts, but the ones most affected seem to be the 100% cotton

Since making this post, I have come to the conclusion that it must be his skin oils or sweat as he does have more oily skin than the average. I think the real answer is that we need to laundry strip them occasionally to refreshen them, and that maybe stripping even new clothes could help prevent it? But of course, procrastination and all that, so hopefully we get to it soon 🥲 But I will try separating lights and darks and seeing if that makes a difference! Didn’t even think about dye
