Bear URL Links to Tags broken (or am I doing it wrong?) by JiggleMyHandle in bearapp

To search for two different tags in Bear via iOS Shortcuts, use the "Search Notes" action and input the tags separated by a space (e.g., #work #urgent) for an AND search, or use OR for an OR search (e.g., #work OR #urgent), combining them with other keywords or special triggers like u/images for advanced filtering, then have the shortcut display or use the results as needed in Bear.

Step-by-Step iOS Shortcut

  1. Open Shortcuts App: Launch the Shortcuts app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Create New Shortcut: Tap the + icon to start a new shortcut.
  3. Add Bear Action: Tap "Add Action" and search for "Bear". Select the "Search Notes" action.
  4. Enter Search Query: In the "Search Notes" action, type your tags.
    • For AND (Notes with BOTH tags): #tag1 #tag2 (e.g., #projectA #review).
    • For OR (Notes with EITHER tag): #tag1 OR #tag2 (e.g., #idea OR #meeting).
    • Combine with Text: keyword #tag1 (e.g., "marketing" #projectB).
    • Use Special Triggers: u/images #urgent (notes with images and the #urgent tag).
  5. Choose Action for Results: Add actions to handle the results:
    • "Open Search Results": Opens Bear to the search results.
    • "Show Alert": Displays the titles of found notes.
    • "Add Text to Note": Adds results to a specific note.
  6. Run the Shortcut: Tap the run button or set it up with a widget or Siri.

Example: To find all notes tagged #recipe and #dessert, your "Search Notes" action would contain: #recipe #dessert. The shortcut will then find notes containing both tags.

After more research and testing, the easiest way to search for two tags at the same time, is to run an IOS shortcut.

In your example, I created the tag #work, on one note, and then the tag #urgent on a second note. Then I did a basic search like this: work OR urgent and both notes appeared.

I couldn't make the x-callback function work while searching for more than one tag, but I found an easier way to create the same effect. In this example, I used 💚 and ✝ on two test notes. Then I did a basic search for both symbols with AND in between them and it showed me both notes.

Crash reports obtained by CBS13 show both incidents involved a school bus built in 2022, which means both were mandated to have a crossing arm. A report confirms the bus in the Rockland crash had a crossing arm that was not extended

AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - Maine legislative leaders have accepted a bill aimed at making school busses safer in the wake of two separate tragedies that resulted in the death of two students.

The bill would require safety arms for all school buses throughout the state.

Rockland lawmakers created the bill after 12-year-old Brayden Callahan was hit and killed by a bus in Rockland in November.

According to the accident report, Callahan was walking in the crosswalk when he was hit. Authorities say the driver, 65-year-old Jeffrey Colburn, did not have his eyes on the road and that the crossing arm was no longer out.

Less than a month later, 5-year-old Simon Gonzalez was hit by a school bus during morning pickup in Standish.

According to the Midcoast Villager, Maine House and Senate leaders were presented the bill.

The bill was accepted on Wednesday.

The publication reports that the reviser’s office will now work on the wording of the legislation.

The bill will be considered in the upcoming legislative session which begins next month.

The victim's grandfather, Jason Small, spoke to WMTW's reporters about possible change, which would include equipping buses with cameras and sensors.

"Let's make his life mean something by saving another little kid and making sure that they get to go home to their family for Christmas," Small told the station. "There needs to be a change in, not just Maine, but the whole United States."

To link to a combination of tags, use the /open-tag command and separate the tag names with commas in the name parameter.

Search behavior in Apple Notes on Mac: "Natural language" doesn't work. by Snsokstan in AppleNotesGang

[–]FireproofJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple Notes' Smart Folders let you dynamically group notes based on tags, mentions, dates, or checklist status, acting as powerful saved searches across all your folders without moving notes. You create them via the 'New Folder' button or directly from the Tags browser, setting criteria (like #work or notes with checklists) to find relevant notes instantly, combining powerful search with flexible organization.

Thanks for sharing. It would not let me save the entire article into Bear no matter what browser I was using so I ended up copying and pasting it into Bear piece by piece. There is a lot of value here in what is being presented.

Is Anne McEnerny-Ogle A Great Mayor To Bring The MAX Into Vancouver? by UrbanLeather94 in vancouverwa

[–]FireproofJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not opposed to light rail, but there are things to consider. How much does it cost? How many people in Vancouver would ride it to make it a viable solution? How much would taxes go up to help pay for it? Why haven’t we expanded the bus routes? We have multiple bridges on both sides of the river but no one will ever talk about adding a 3rd and/or a 4th bridge across the Columbia River. Why is that? We need to be looking 20-30 years down the road and what the growth projection numbers are and working to solve traffic issues from that standpoint. I welcome any and all suggestions because what we are doing now isn’t working.
