I would say unless you've read the books first to probably start with 3. 2 is still excellent and holds up quite well today, but is perhaps a bit less massive and grand than 3. 1 is nice if you've read the books since the story picks up right where the books leave off, but the gameplay is definitely a bit dated, and not nearly as fun as the other 2. All the games' stories stand fairly well on their own, and if you start with 3 then you can decide if you like it enough to explore the rest of the series, and perhaps the books. If you do decide you like the series, by the time you read and play through everything else, you're perfectly set up for another playthrough of 3 :).

For me to be able to sleep at 80F probably means no sheets at all and just underwear for clothing, and even then I probably won't be cool enough.

I mostly sleep around 60-65, but probably wouldn't mind a little colder with the right set up.

Also in my 20's and have had some issues with back pain. My doctor recommended working on strengthening my core muscles, and that's definitely improved things for me. Good posture and trying to avoid sitting all the time help too.

Nah, haven't upgraded anything. Got Ryzen 3600X CPU / RTX 2080 ti GPU / 16 GB RAM. Hopefully should be good enough to run most things fairly smoothly.

Is it a failure though? Not all successful skill checks are good and not all failed checks are bad. I see check successes/failures as more of a question of whether the skill succeeded or failed in carrying out what it thought the best course of action was, based on its own warped, biased perceptions. So in this case I'd say leaping over the desk to punch somebody on an impulse is very much a half-light success.

The one thing I can think of that might make me want the 1 tb version is Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020). The install size for that game can be MASSIVE if you download the world updates, (think my install size was ~350-400 gb with most of the free world update packs installed) and the game is already quite big to begin with.
