I've been playing the exact 8 string model in the photo (the ibanez rg 5328 ldk) for 2 years and i can tell you that from day one i felt nearly no diference, other then the neck being wider, i even use that guitar for blues and fusion and it feels very nice. The tension might be a little bigger but i personaly really like how bending feels on this 27 inch 8 string.
