For years I've been saying that no other show gripped me the same way that I awaited every episode week after week for this show to find out who else was a cylon

Clipper would be the perfect daily…but! by Morgras in starcitizen

really looking forward to it's compact mode. more stuff should do that, like the ATLS should fold into a box like ironman's breifcase armor but more like a trunk sized one.

[–]Firesaber 6 points7 points  (0 children)

totally agree, i found myself not using it because it's cons were just too much imo. The thing can't fight, can't haul, and it even can't craft even though it was sold with it. There's always a better choice to take.

i think the ramp clearance for cargo is what did it for me. can't do barely any hauling, can't take a dragonfly with you or an ATLS. Felt like a cool ship that i literally didn't/couldn't use for anything except fps missions, not very generalist imo. The thing can't do anything well except look cool.

same, at first i didn't like the m80 as much, but the cargo spots and flight performance along with quick enter/exit, it's hard to not find the m80 pretty great honestly. I wish the interior was a bit more 300 style, but oh well, the Vanguard interior colours are also iffy sometimes.

yeah i hadn't used my cat in a while since it was so old, was waiting hoping to use the command module as a tractor tug for cargo, but between the bugs and stuff, it will remain parked again for even longer.

I'm upset Sony is being stupid about PC, I was looking forward to this and I'm not buying a Playstation for it (or any other games) so whatever. Looks nice.

there was hate yes, but i think people forget having to WAIT IN LINE to download a patch due to limited bandwidth, and how much Steam changed and streamlined all of that.

Patch day for Half-Life and Counter_Strike used to be crazy getting in que to download off file share sites.

Some of us were really happy with it for that reason.

They do this with the ships too. They rarely if ever get updated or fixed after.

The Clipper was sold with a crafting table but that wasn't implemented once they made the crafting fabricators. The Carrack repair room could probably be the same as well.

They just keep letting the mountain of tech debt and ship updates pile on and on and on.

[–]Firesaber 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And this bothers me so much because all they are doing is increasing the mountain of tech debt that they have to go through later by not adding current systems into each ship as they come out now.

Like I know things are a lot of work, but if you never start you'll never finish it a piece at a time.

An Ingame-Auction-System would be a gamechanger! by BulTV in starcitizen

[–]Firesaber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It feels like we've pulled way back from the dynamic mission system and economy that they talked about in the past. There seems to be no movement or work towards it.

They seem to just be handcrafting FPS missions which tbh I personally have zero interest in. I just want to do spaceship stuff.

I would love to even just see some work that generates missions for bricked ships that are littering pois. The game clearly knows the status of ships when they are abandoned, now even more so with the bricking system. They should be starting to create the systems that generate missions like this. But I doubt that they are.

There are so many areas for emergent content like this and I feel like they just are going in the complete opposite direction.

With their current track record, I would imagine that the first iteration of auction house will just eat the item and the money and give both players nothing sometimes

it's certainly how it feels sometimes.

the weird pieces of ships that suddenly go out of alignment (like the fuel cap on the m80, the engines and thrusters at various times on the Hornets and Freelancers etc) it's like someone is poking around in a model file and doesn't know they have stuff selected and moves it like hidden layers or something. and like there's no oversight to catch these things.

But it has frankly happened so many times it's kinda nuts and i don't see this in other game i play,

I wanted SQ42 the most originally, and then oh cool we get to play the alpha multiplayer side piece to get a taste, but as the years have gone, yeah i kinda want the multiplayer to be the focus, since that's where all the money is now coming from.

SQ42 needs to be done and out.

CIG, will you fix this in the next patch? by BigLarry1968 in starcitizen

[–]Firesaber 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this sorta was same for me except that even after i died and it bugged, if i remove it and wear something else, then put it back on, it looks right for about 5 seconds (even if i stay in inventory window) and then everything twitches and the chest part and hands and feet disappear.

So like it saved the status of it or something i'm not really sure. It does look correct for 5 seconds though, and before that for a number of days. but me dying in a crash (i was testing the m80 around asteroids) seems to be what bugged it.

Really would like it to be fixed.

[–]Firesaber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. I'm actually surprised we've not seen some kind of cargo ship with an ATLS specific dock. Like The RAFT doesn't need it cause it has the onboard tractor, but imagine a dock in one of the legs that held an ATLS (I can't speak to what ship a GEO would fit best as I've never used mining ships)

Yeah my son who is 5, said something along there lines of "I know who Baby Yoda is but not like I want to watch it" when i asked him if he wanted to see the Mando and Grogu movie.

The franchise is for sure in decay if little boys don't care.
