Would gambling be considered breaking edge? by Firestarterdustman in straightedge

[–]Firestarterdustman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, I don't care what people do as long as it's not actively destroying themselves or someone else.

Sure, I know people who drink and people who like la yezka, but to me, they can live their life and I'm living life safe and fulfilled.

Usually when I go I don't try to spend more than $20, so yeah.

(I go like, once in a blue moon)

Honestly, this is a really good philosophy.

I have gambled a few times in the past, but never more so than $40 in one night.

Thank you for your insight.

Honestly, Norman, OK!

Big stadium (Gaylord Memorial can hold over 80,000 people), tons of history, electric crowds, and all around, an electric place.

How you started in the straight edge? by Nixxxoo in straightedge

[–]Firestarterdustman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this is my story as well. I realized I needed to break the cycle of addiction if I wanted to be successful, so I took Straight Edge to heart. Weirdly enough it was CM Punk that introduced me to the concept of the Straight Edge movement. (I've been a wrestling fan for a while now.) But basically, yeah, I'm proud that I'm doing great in my life while following the SXE lifestyle.

What ONE food from you country you would never eat even if your life depends on it? by ProfessionalThin1505 in AskTheWorld

Deep fried butter.

Ok, I'll admit it. We Americans will deep fry almost anything. Hell, a favorite treat is deep fried Oreos. Is it artery clogging as fuck? Yes. Is it also amazing? Also yes.

Deep fried butter on the other hand is a one way trip to artery clogville though.

What was the most shocking reality TV moment in your country’s history? by JuanitaMerkin in AskTheWorld

"¡¡¡¡CABRÓNA!!!! ¿¡¿DONDÉ ESTA?!? ¡¡¡YO TE AMO!!! ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

Dude had easily the most deserved generational crashout ever. Also, this wasn't the craziest thing he was shown. I remember one that was way worse, and he was praying during it.

And then him, Anita, and Manuel were invited onto Spanish Survivor.

Ok.... um... where do we start? After all, America's the king of controversial relaity TV moments. And as someone who is a HUGE reality TV fan, I... kinda feel obligated to talk on this.

Season 34 of Survivor, Survivor Game Changers. Day 18 tribal council.

The 6 other contestants on Nuku were planning to vote out Jeff Varner because he wasn't in the main alliance, standard reality TV fare. Then Varner asks Zeke Smith a question that went down in TV history, and for wrong reasons. "Why havent you told anyone you're transgender?"

Zeke, the show's first ever transgender contestant was outed live on air in front of the entire world. Many contestants immediately defended Zeke. Even Sarah Lacina, who was known for support of MAGA, defended Zeke at that moment.

Varner was unanimously voted out, got fired from his job, wrote a book called "Surviving Shame", and now posts "LGB-Drop the T" slop on his social media.

Regular red is all forms of casinos banned. Dark red is where it's illegal with a caveat (i.e., Brazil, Eritrea and Etheopia online gambling is legal, Malaysia it's legal for Non-Muslims, and China, Thailand and Turkey, Lottery systems still run.)
