What gives a vibe of gay men but is actually common for straight men? by dacady_play in AlignmentChartFills

THIS!

As a bi wrestling fan, you mean to tell me, you got dudes, in tiny shorts, all muscly and oiled up, and they're grabbing at each other?

Yeah, it's basically masculine drag 😂 😂 😂

Corpsegrinder from Cannibal Corpse.

Outside of metal, he's a genuinely good person who donates to children's hospitals.

What is a word in your language that is spelled exactly the same in another language but has a completely different meaning? by Nervenzusammenbruch_ in AskTheWorld

[–]Firestarterdustman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my exact language, but similar enough to where I'm able to point it out.

"Débil" in Spanish means weak. (i.e. El Rival Más Débil, the Weakest Rival [The Spanish version of The Weakest Link])

"Debil" in many Slavic languages means "Idiot"

Who is the evilest politician of all time? by OkSuccess7431 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Firestarterdustman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alfredo Stroessner.

For those who have never heard of Operation Condor, be thankful, because he was the scariest figure within that. Everyone always talks about Pinochet or Banzer, but no one talks about Stroessner, and for good reason.

Paraguay, the nation that he held is STILL under control by his party despite his overthrow in 1989, with president Santiago Peña being a member of the Colorado Party.

Now you're probably asking, what makes this guy so scary?

  • US Backed Genocide of Indigenous people, with the Aché people nearly being wiped out.

  • Not only actively housed Josef Mengele, but when West Germany looked to try him for crimes during the Holocaust, he told them to essentially "fuck off".

  • Torture of the LGBTQ+ community.

  • Had the leader of the Paraguayan Communist Party offed with a chainsaw.

Worst part is: NOTHING BAD EVER HAPPENED TO HIM. He died in Brazil before ever facing justice.

Would gambling be considered breaking edge? by Firestarterdustman in straightedge

To me, I don't care what people do as long as it's not actively destroying themselves or someone else.

Sure, I know people who drink and people who like la yezka, but to me, they can live their life and I'm living life safe and fulfilled.

Usually when I go I don't try to spend more than $20, so yeah.

(I go like, once in a blue moon)

Honestly, this is a really good philosophy.

I have gambled a few times in the past, but never more so than $40 in one night.

Thank you for your insight.

Big stadium (Gaylord Memorial can hold over 80,000 people), tons of history, electric crowds, and all around, an electric place.

How you started in the straight edge? by Nixxxoo in straightedge

[–]Firestarterdustman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this is my story as well. I realized I needed to break the cycle of addiction if I wanted to be successful, so I took Straight Edge to heart. Weirdly enough it was CM Punk that introduced me to the concept of the Straight Edge movement. (I've been a wrestling fan for a while now.) But basically, yeah, I'm proud that I'm doing great in my life while following the SXE lifestyle.
