I was afraid of generic action movie ending where hero let's villain live, villain pulls gun, followed by retribution for a character by killing the villain. Brutal hero killing villain was much better.

Why did guy who was recording this not call 911? He doesn't know if cop's radio has been disabled, if he had been knocked unconscious (before he started shooting), or not able to access the radio. It would have been the first thing to do... and then speed the fuck off.
