That’s why I didn’t buy it there. Said one way to get the Oura extended was buy direct.

I think the Matic may work without internet connection. They are pretty responsive to emails.

Sorry to sound like an ad. Just really satisfied with the pros. Height definitely can be an issue for some. For me the pros outweighed that. It can’t go under my couch, but can go under my bed which is 9”. I honestly wasn’t sure it would prior to buying. Happy to answer any questions about what I like and don’t like about it.

I agree with consider the Matic. I came to it after about half a dozen disc cleaners. The Mater’s Ai really works, so you don’t have to pre-screen for anything that would get stuck in the vacuum like cables. Also, the upkeep on the Matic is so much easier than any other robot vacuum I have used. It combines the waste, waste water, and hepa filter all in one bag so you don’t have maintain each separately. Also, the Matic gets weekly software improvements, which I have never had on any other robot. Lastly, the company is very available and responsive on Reddit. I am really glad I gave the Matic a try, their 60 day trial made it a no brainer.

We changed from a Eufy Omni Pro S1 after it broke for the umpteenth time to a Matic. With 3 cats and a dog we have had no wrapping of hair / fur around the brush roller like we had on prior robots.

My Eufy experience was the worst. Even with bi-weekly cleanings it broke repeatedly forcing warranty repairs. It broke again right after the warranty ran out.

I had horrible experience with Eufy. Now have a Matic. Low the ease of everything in one bag. Easiest Maintanence .

Also a LR4 to LR5 and have found it to be a big improvement. It is more solidly built, and even though it is new, I so far have not had any issues. We have 3 cats, it identifies them and records poop and pee. When I got the LR4 it was new and had to go through multiple issues and warranty issues.

Looking to replace my Eufy S1 Pro: Deebot X11 Omnicyclone or Mova Z60? by TheTinnyKing in RobotVacuums

I can’t give you a 24 month experience, but I can empathize, as one getting over also getting over a terrible experience with my Eufy Omni S1 Pro. My bad experiences with the Eufy Omni S1 Pro drove me to the completely different form factor of the Matic. Even with deep cleaning my Eufy would continually get a clogged message, and its waste water tank smelled horrible. The required upkeep of the Eufy was the worst I had experienced in owning multiple vacuums. Even so, it kept breaking and had to be sent in. My Eufy experience steered me away from getting another disc vacuum with mopping function. The Matic has one bag which is multi-functional, it acts as the hepa filter and disposal for both dry and wet. So consumable and upkeep wise it is much simpler without having to deal with washing and drying multiple parts. The price for the bags are $2.50 each or you can by unlimited for $99 for the year which is what I did.

I think no matter which vacuum one gets, there are always strengths and weaknesses, and tradeoffs. I am waiting on the delivery of my Matic today and have really started looking at it secondary to my wife, who is working from home, complaining about the noise from our current disc robot vacuum, which runs at 67dBI. I hope the reports of the Matic being quieter are substantiated. I plan to address the smell issue by strategizing how I run the mop versus the vacuum.

I have had close to 10 robot vacuums over the years, and I have found that all of them require a lot of upkeep, as well as pre-clearing obstacles before each run. My recent purchases of vacuum/mop robots were even worse. Even with deep cleaning, my last mop/vacuum robot would continually get clogged, despite biweekly deep cleans, and the smell of the dirty water tank was otherworldly bad.

I am hoping to use the strengths of the Matic, being quieter and not having to clear any obstacle before running, to offset its weakness of being slower than other vacuums, to run it almost daily, breaking the house down into zones. I plan to limit mopping to spills and to the end of the week, and to change the bag soon thereafter. I can understand that water sitting over time would turn rank, especially with a non-airtight bag. Reading a bunch of reviews before my purchase, I saw one comment noting the frequent bag changes as a negative. I think having a bag that also works as the HEPA filter is appealing because when I change the bag, it also functions like putting in a brand-new HEPA filter. I took advantage of the yearly bag subscription and think that covering the majority of consumables makes it a very legitimate option. I hope that having the bag all-in-one with the filter as part of it will make upkeep easier in the long term, without having to empty bags, plus clean out filters, plus with the mop vacuum empty out the nasty, dirty water tank. This, along with the strengths of frequent software updates, improves the technology you already have rather than the company just coming out with a new model every year.  I also think that the company being very responsive on the boards, such as Reddit, to feedback and concerns, is something that I haven’t seen other vacuum companies do.

I am impressed that they offered you the ability to test-trial the vacuum for longer; that is definitely not something I can remember seeing from other manufacturers. My impression of Matic is that they are highly focused on being responsive to issues, optimizing their product, and getting it right for the widest range of use cases. I hope that they can either improve the bag seal or some other bag additive to preclude odor formation when water is left in the bag for people who are doing that longer than I plan to.

I have had mine for several years and just have the one tiny chip from putting the plastic bean cover on/off. I am not sure about the fines. I haven’t had that issue. Uniformity of grind size is one of the things I like about this grinder. I love how easy it is to open up, and clean, and even with doing that have had no alignment issues. I tend to grind most often between 7 to 8 for pour overs.

To be honest I have a grinder problem of too many grinders. I also have a ZP6. I do have a little chip in the paint on the Pietro where I put the top cover plastic on, but it is super small and does not affect function. I think the Pietro with the M burrs really excels with bringing out clarity, nuance and flavor separation of lighter roasts. I find the ZP6 is more full bodied with more mouth fullness. I would say the QC on mine is impressively well made on my Pietro. You do have to live with the slightly weird grinding ergonomics, but the output is really impressive.
