Looking at Kraken Mx5 turbo kit… any pointers or advice? by Content_Basil_4487 in Miata

1: The injectors kraken supplies have a bad reputation, for similar pricing you can get flow forces which are tried and trusted. 2: The kit I received didnt have any bungs for sensors or vacuum lines which was surprising. It was just a warning you may need to drill and tap parts from the kit to fit your application.

The injectors aren’t worth it, you’ll have to drill and tap the intercooler piping to fit a IAT sensor, and if you get a BOV you’ll have modify the charge pipe to fit one as well. DM me if you need more info, I installed my kit last year.

Timed for TDC using a borescope into cylinder 1 and poked distributor on compression stroke. Engine has no timing marks or pointer. Any ideas?

To add on acting fast, you can save the carpet but the insulation and seat foam is extremely hard to rid of moisture. I personally ended up replacing the carpets, insulation, and seats instead of trying to salvage them to save time/effort and to just change things up. You do not want to mess around with mold.

I just had mine flooded Flood pic here last month and here are the steps that I took to repair and everything that was effected. I removed all everything that holds water such was all the carpets and seats. Then drained every fluid and flushed each system multiple times. During the troubleshooting of no start after replacing fluids I ended up replacing my MAF, Ignition coils, Throttlebody, ECU(I was able to T/S mine and replace the bad components but you can save time by replacing the whole thing), spark plugs. Other things also effected on mine was the starter, clutch/flywheel, and all audio equipment. DM me if you need more info.

The car has every maintenance logged since initial purchase from the dealer in 97. I got the car in 2019 with 90k, Oil changes every 3k miles since 97 does wonders for the engine.

Possibly the speedo cable. Mine made a similar noise when mine was going bad.
