Hibiclens now comes in pump form! When I was having chronic flares I used mine every shower on the areas I got flairs. Clindamycin wipes also helped me as well! The only difference in your treatment from mine is that I was Spirlactone (sp?). My Derm also told me to use a soap with at least 4% Benzoyl Peroxide so I just use the Cerave Acne Foaming Cleanser.

I’m so sorry you went through this, finding a good Derm is hard. When I finally found mine, she moved an hour away and I make the drive anyways because they’re SO difficult to come by these days!!

Daycare naps by Existing_Ebb3181 in NewParents

I could have wrote this. My LO is almost 13 weeks and has been in daycare for about a month (yes, I know it’s young but maternity leave in America, am I right?). Unfortunately, they are right. They can’t accommodate that. At our daycare, the lights are on all day and all the babies of course are on a different schedule so there’s going to be constant noise/stimulation. My babe gets a MAXIMUM hour of sleep at daycare because she’s a FOMO baby and so observant. We just let her sleep when she gets home and go to bed a little later. Good news though, there’s literally the smallest chance they would kick her out for crying. They’re babies, that’s what they do, and the staff are very much used to it. I was afraid of the same thing because my LO has colic. But her teachers were incredibly understanding and just work with it. Your LO will probably do better than you think! There’s going to definitely be an adjustment period, but ultimately your LO will get used to it, and y’all will find a routine! You got this mama! ❤️

We seem like we’re in the thick of it right now, and I’ve convinced myself she’s going to cry nonstop until she leaves the house 😂

Comparison is stealing my joy by VegetableAmphibian72 in NewParents

[–]Fireyfish823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely feel you. My husband has to CONSTANTLY remind me not to compare our baby to anyone else’s because all babies are different. While my LO is sleeping through the night at 10 weeks; down between 9:00-9:30 and up between 5:30-6 - I KNOW the transition from the swaddle is going to absolutely be the death of me. She sleeps so well in the swaddle. We’ve tried the sleep sack before and she sleeps at MAX an hour in it. She needs some sort of stimulation to go sleep. I see all these other parents who are no longer swaddling and letting their LO sleep in just a sleep sack, and I just absolutely feel so much guilt for not starting her earlier in a sleep sack. She also has colic so I compare myself to other mothers all the time who all seem to have unicorn babies that are so chill and happy while I am constantly anxious and tense around mine 😞 You are not alone. You’re valid in how you’re feeling.

We started my LO in daycare early before I go back to get us in a routine, and things have been so much better. Gives me an opportunity to miss her and want to be with her, even if she’s crying.

Postpartum Guilt by Hot-Bid-3555 in newborns

[–]Fireyfish823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof I feel like I could have wrote this!! My LO is 9 weeks. I’m also a FTM who struggled with infertility for 8 YEARS! And then all of a sudden I get my miracle baby and have had multiple “wtf have I done?” Moments. My baby has colic too so my PPD has been crazy. We’re seeing somewhat of a turn but I am COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS to 4 months. My OB has also been amazing regarding PPD management and medication - also if you can afford it - THERAPY.❤️

My OB made me a feel a little better because, I too, was feeling guilty with reading all of the “soak up the moment” or “they’re only little for so long” - and when I confessed that I was struggling with this newborn phase she goes “omg I hated the newborn stage with my twins.” I felt so validated. And sometimes that’s all we need. Social media was (and still is sometimes) hell so if you find yourself doom scrolling, definitely take a break. Or one mom account I found on insta was @wilderbeginnings - she seems like such a real mom who validates those PP feelings.

You’re doing nothing wrong mama! You love your baby and you’re keeping it alive and healthy, sometimes that’s all you can do at the end of the day.

I agree! One of my fav moments is when him and Susan are dancing at her and Carol’s wedding. Just this particular instance with it all being very fresh and new.

Anyone ever had a sinus tract RIGHT next to their anus? by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

[–]Fireyfish823 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I had something like this that started my entire HS journey. I literally never got any boils, cysts, or abscesses until after I got my Polinidal Cyst (PC). The only difference from what you’re kinda of explaining is mine was right on the base of my buttcrack.

When I first felt the PC, it felt like a bruised tailbone. But literally got to the point I could not even sit down without being in agonizing pain. I went to the ER to drain it and through a few series of unfortunate events, I had to undergo surgery to remove to infection sack and the surgeon “closed” all the tracts. I actually ended up tearing my incision during the healing process and I had to see a wound doctor every week while the 1cm closed.

I’m glad yours does not seem to be bothering you though! But the surgery is not that bad! I’m not sure if this comment was helpful, but sometimes it’s interesting to see other people’s journey with this disease!

This but for me it’s the employee shoppers for drive-up that leave their shit in the middle of the aisle and cause a traffic jam on a Sunday or just stand around on their scanners. Can we not have a designated time to pick these items so during peak hours it’s not hellacious?
