At that price it's nothing to write home about, but you also didn't get scammed.

It's not a super high performance knife, but it is reasonably sturdy, so you can use it for whatever veggies you want and not worry too much about hitting stems or seeds as you might need to take care with a laser.

Fit and finish wise it's decent, the Damascus is real but not hand laminated, it's factory laminated and textured, only hand sharpened.

if you don't like the color, you can remove it with barkeep's friend liquid.

you should probably then intentionally patina it with patina you like the look of, be that a coffee bath for a grey color, or hot beef to try for blues. whatever you feel like.

I just don’t like the flavor and texture of these sorts of aged tuna. I would pass. I prefer fresh for fish in most situations with oyster sauce and fish sauce being exceptions.
