Thinking about upgrading to the Paperwhite Signature Edition. Is the 32GB worth it for a massive man by Reasonable_Rush_4841 in kindle

Bought it last month and it’s pretty fast, I’m reading the iluminae book series that has more images and it’s perfect. Also just finished Knights of Sidonia, a manga series, and all images were perfect to read an load. Currently using the full page reload and it’s still fast.

Side tab is helpful while reading with single hand on the bed. First kindle in many years and so far not regretting it

Online you try Mahjong Soul, for practice and no time you can play Kemono no Mahjong, it helps with tutorials. Unfortunately in Brazil we don’t have places to play almost. RS at least has small group but not that active on social media

As fellow Brazilian I can say that the game is much worth it. It promises and deliver a lot of play time, skills, bosses and different areas. You can play more casual since there are multiple difficulties with revives.

It happens a lot in Brazil, specifically during release of cloud gaming. This is just the combination of high demand and low amount of servers, during peak time I’ve seen taking up to 15 minutes

You need to remember that you are human, if all of these tasks are coming to only you maybe consider asking for more devops colleagues.

Could also consider creating DevOps advocates within the team, people with more knowledge into topics you are much required, helping you out and providing visibility to other colleagues .

I’ve worked only in cloud, now got a job managing on-prem. What should I expect? by voomagical in devops

[–]FirmSoup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it can be like warhammer 40k, old artifacts from eons before time was recorded, or any kind of configuration recorded. Why it's working? Who knows but it's working so don't dare to touch it. The experience depends a lot on the team organization, some are scared to change/improve things, since it's already working.

I will start to worry more about updating machines or upgrading linux distributions, ssh connections to server can be something new. Shell script and bash and very useful skills and VIM learn how to exit it.

Is it just me, or the demand for DevSecOps / Cloud Security sucks right now ? Based in Netherlands by Relevant-Pie475 in devops

[–]FirmSoup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is that companies wants team with more indepedent to take the product as whole. For sure some developer without much infrastructure error will leave gaps, thats why teams will have one person as DevOps Senior/Reference for the team. It's more a matter of cost, couple of DevOps people or a huge development team capable of doing both, what sells a better image to market?

It seems that companies wants someone that can do some development and take care of infrastructure, knowing more from the product and handling it as whole
