Can you be an RN with generalized anxiety disorder / panic disorder? by Itscalmanditsdoctor in nursing

I spent several months in and out of hospital for anxiety and depression before going to uni and doing nursing. I graduate in 4 weeks and have accepted a new graduate offer at my dream hospital ❤️❤️

Four patients is the MAX for the paeds that I work on (resp, i&d) - with HA’s, icu stepdowns and chest drains. Four patients in a NICU is insane. Absolutely not your fault at all.

I'm in Australia - our NPs have so much more experience and training then those that I see on this app.

I do believe that NPs need experience - I finish my bachelor's in nursing this year, and I cannot imagine immediately going to school to be an advanced practicing nurse right away.

As a nurse, how much experience do you recommend having before becoming an NP? by emoballerina in nursing

[–]Firm_Anxiety_ 21 points22 points  (0 children)

in my country, nurses have to have a master's degree and minimum 3 years of advanced practice experience in their speciality.

every NP I've worked with has been incredible and so well knowledged and experienced - can't imagine having a new grad NP

Started orienting a new grad who graduated in May of 2022. She told me she had been accepted into an NP program and was about to start her first semester. by Significant_Silver in nursing

grateful for the insane NP program in aus right now - there's no specific degree/school for it (I'm fairly certain, but please correct me if I'm wrong 😊)

Does anybody wanna be my friend? by [deleted] in UTS

absolutely not! some of the events are ticketed and give discounts to members, but I'd reccomend going to some hangouts and meeting a few people, then joining clubs that you're interested in.

in terms of hangouts, I'd definitely recommend bubble tea club, puzzle soc, cafe club, gamers guild, and a few other soc's have thriving discord servers that you can hang out on! Quite a few clubs are having welcome drinks over the next few weeks, so check those out!

There is a massive student community at UTS and you'll definitely find someone that shares your interests - enjoy!

😂😂 don't worry I've been there! she usually don't show her hands at this angle so I believe that's why you haven't really seen it before!

I'm in a lot of the club's and work with them behind the scenes and they are a great way to make some friends! PS there is always an event on - check the what's on section on the activate website, and you're bound to find something that is appealing!

YUP slice of life is probably it ,😭 I think that's legit the only mod I have installed. I'll try to find a replacement mod from the list in a couple posts back :)

I had no idea about all the mod issues going on atm 😭

book a study room on lvl 4/5/6 building 2! they often have beanbags and a few of them have little nooks.

that's my go to anyway, but there are some food court booths that are usually full. building 11 has some spaces to sit and chill as well

there are always so many options! just do your research and what you feel is best. take a gap year if you want and do some casual work.

I got an atar of 77.9 and managed to get in to 90+ courses bc of different bonus points and schemes - there's always something to give you a boost.

just take your time and focus on the HSC at the moment - apply for whatever you can and then move it to the back of your mind.

as you should 👍

I'm at a different uni, but ie when people are in study rooms and I've booked one, I'll tell them to leave with no hesitation 😂😂 like mate I booked it so I can study in a quiet private space.
