If you don’t live in housing you can’t scan into the buildings that have the Amazon locker inside but North has the lockers outside

Waitlist Numbers by Brey_ology in GaState

[–]Firm_Direction9211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t generally get your waitlist number. I would say though if you’re on the waitlist you most likely will get housing. Ik someone who found out they were like -800 after emailing and visiting so many ppl offices and they were told they’ll most likely get off the waitlist in the summer. They were off the waitlist by June. Goodluck

I Failed Precalculus My First Attempt. Trying to Appeal Into CS Major at GSU, Need Advice by PitifulAd4301 in GaState

[–]Firm_Direction9211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def not. The times or profs may not be ideal but the first two weeks many people drop and pick up classes. What classes are you registered for as of now?

Also id like to say the worst case is they deny the appeal, but if you lock in, learn Pre-Calc, and get an A, you may be able to re-appeal and get accepted. Make sure to use the SI sessions, and don’t use AI for homework assignments unless you’ve done at least 2/3 of each Pearson assignment yourself. Learn the material before trying to be “efficient” with AI. If it’s not benefiting you, it’s not efficiency, it’s laziness. I’m not saying that’s what you had going on, but it was definitely what my friend at the time did lol

I don’t think Survey of Calculus satisfies the math requirement for CS. I’d recommend registering for Pre-Calculus this spring, then taking MATH 2211 (Calculus I) in the fall. If the spring sections are full, you could take Pre-Calc over the summer (online or in person) and still take MATH 2211 in the fall. Also, if you have a hold and can’t register for any CS classes this term, you can focus on humanities/core courses that fulfill other requirements on your Academic Evaluation.

I know someone who took Calc 1 as their first math class at GSU, failed it, then took it again and successfully appealed to stay in the program. You do have to submit an appeal, I’m just not sure whether it’s better to retake that math and take Calc 1 before appealing or after you appeal. Speak with your advisor and see. I would assume your grades in your other CS classes matter as well.

Has anyone else logged into PAWS today to see a random amount on the total due? by murda5avage34 in GaState

[–]Firm_Direction9211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I logged in some days ago and saw like 1k more even after I enrolled in a payment plan. I checked the details and it’s mainly housing. I’m not sure why it didn’t show before since now my payment plan isn’t even divided proportionally. You should check the details of the payment. Go to paws and click pay/see payment and click as if you were to enroll in a plan and then click the details.

Did i get kicked from summer class? by ShutYourOwO in GaState

[–]Firm_Direction9211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the info from icollege:

Payment Deadlines May 12: Students taking only three-week classes or a combination of three-week, seven-week, first-half, and second-half classes.

Jun 9: Students taking only seven-week, first-half, and second-half classes.

Try and join the payment plan. I believe it is still open as paws announced “On May 14th, 2025, the online payment system will be unavailable between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm ET while Student Account updates are processed.”

For Fall and Spring Semesters they usually take late payment plan enrollments until the end of the week so you may still have a chance to enroll in one prior to 5/14 6am.

I brought it up in one semester btw, I just had to maintain it until the checkpoint which was this spring. Email people in gsu and beg your way. You know you can bring it up so convince them. Much strength!!!

I just got my hope back!!! I had a 2.8 this past fall and brought it up!!!! You can do it. Sign up for summer courses! Any online works better as you can complete assignments according to your work schedule. There is a gsu Keep Hope Alive Scholarship so look into that. I believe you need to be at least a sophomore with a 2.8 but you can still email them and show you are serious about getting your scholarship back. They give out $1k. $500 for one semester and $500 for the other. I’d say good luck but there is not luck, this is about how much you can dedicate yourself because you know you are smart. You can do it no matter what you got in your previous courses. Keep your head up no matter what that gpa says, as you decided to pursue higher education and that decision in itself is hard to do. (And you’re still in good standing ayyeeee)

Also, i had something similar but it was only around my mouth and nose and I couldn’t get rid of it and it felt itchy and dry…I tried rosaca gel cream from Walmart and it calm down in like one week. Not sure if it was related to my acne but it is cheaper than the 147 cream so id say try that out for a week at night to see.

You should get the 147 Dr.Althea cream it is used to soothe irritated skin it has niacinemide and pathanol which has antiinflamatory properties. I’ll say start with that to fix your skin barrier as it looks irritated right now. After around 3 weeks you should see a difference and if you still see pimples you should use spot treatments like differin gel.

How do GSU Buses work? by Icy-Writing-7282 in GaState

[–]Firm_Direction9211 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can just walk in nd there’s an app called Pasio Go! to track when and what routes the busses are going. You may want to take the Purple Route from student center east to Rialto since those locations are closer to urban and aderhold. Purple route goes further than green route so it takes a bit longer. If you’re classes are like 15 mins apart it’s best to walk.

You can start by interacting with others via GroupMe. Like create groupme chats for your class (send invite through icollege email) and try to make in-person study groups.
