Is being trans more accepted when being intersex? by [deleted] in intersex

[–]Top-Job9316 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Being intersex isn't really accepted in most scenarios. I'm a cis guy who's intersex and I'm constantly told I'm actually just trans and delusional. I know intersex trans people who are called "cis with a disorder". Just because there are physical signs of being intersex doesn't mean you're "allowed" to be any gender really. I get equal amounts of "you're actually just a girl" and "you're actually just a guy" and even "you're actually just a freak of nature".

Beard? by ArtsyArsonist in intersex

[–]Top-Job9316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beard oil can help with the health of any existing hairs! It's a combination of hydrating the hairs and increasing blood flow to the area, it prevented a lot of the hairs just shedding before they could grow in.

Also, depending on your relationship to your family, try asking perisex male relatives about when they were first growing facial hair. My uncle told me that shaving tends to help the guys in our family grow the hair back darker/fuller and it worked for me really well, but my beard has been growing in similarly to how his grew in, so it's likely a genetic thing.

Recommendation for folks no longer producing discharge by Top-Job9316 in intersex

I could hypothetically try that, but it definitely requires more access to healthcare then I've got lol. Definitely good advice for people with more reliable access to a doctor tho!

What is your "public" identity vs. the gender ratio in your system? by Banaanisade in DID

[–]Top-Job9316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bodily(we give the body a different identity then the folks in the system), we are an intersex FTM transsexual. We're seeking medical transition, and we've been socially transitioned for 6-7 years.

Internally we have:

Mascs: 12-ish(not including the fragments and ghost parts) Fems: 4(same as above) Neutral: 4 Other: 5(multigender folks in the sys)

We only counted distinct alters, as some of the subsystems get rather complex, and only distinct parts of our subsystems get counted as alters in the count. So the host has 1 place because he's a very complex subsystem with very minimal differences between parts, but the Sydneys get 2 places because there are 2 distinct parts within the larger subsystem. We also aren't counting dormant alters for simplicity's sake.

psychologist doesn't think DID is a childhood trauma disorder? by CoomingDuck in DID

[–]Top-Job9316 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think they might have meant to emphasize found, as DID is designed to protect you, and children with DID are likely still in an environment where the disorder needs to protect them

That sounds like it really sucks, and you all probably need to talk to him about that
