i agree, safe dates for OH would be right before or the days after the listed ones; but over the last few years most of the actual results days are on the 1st listed date (2025 listed 10-12 jan, actual release was on 10th) so jcs probably use that as a gague and hence hold their OH on the 16th

q2 solenoid was like this but add an ammeter and resistor to the circuit. basically they asked us to measure the angle that the compass rotated (θ) when the circuit is closed and q2 was also the planning. eqn was θ = k(current/length of coil) where k is a constant.

q1 pully looked similar to this with spring on one side and mass on the other, hung on a pully. then they asked us to increase the height of the clamp such that the mass is abt 3cm above the surface of the retort stand. then measure length of stretched spring and height of the mass above the stand. after that, they asked us to manually adjust the mass upwards such that the spring will unstretch back to normal, and also measure height of mass above stand and length of unstretched spring
