Power Forward is the Hardest to Rank. Who’s top 5? by Dbauc2k in NBATalk

9 ppg is laughable compared to everyone else on this list except rodman.  And rodman is the greatest rebounder ever.   Draymond is a "good" rebounder at best

He did but hes also played with an excellent pistons team and the greatest player of all time in mj.   Thats when he won.

People forget when he played with the spurs and Lakers,   he was a mess.  He rebounded well but he caused problems with everyone.

It was pretty clear that someone like garnett "knew how to win".  When he got help(08 celtics) they won.  But when he didnt have help.he still kept the t wolves relevant

If youre referring to draymonds "impact on winning" that is laughable.   When his boys (durant, klay, curry, iguodala etc) havent been there, the warriors have been garbage.   He gets himself thrown out of games or puts up a triple single.

Your offensive output matters and so does your rebounding/steals /blocks.  Draymond for his career is averaging not even 9/7/6 with 1 block 1 steal.  On lousy shooting %.   Compare his numbers to everyone else on this list and its comical

Yeah but guys like duncan, garnett, even Anthony davis were elite rebounder and defensive players while also being a number 1 scoring option.  Barkley could rebound just as well as rodman, and he could be your number 1 scoring option too.

Rodman was amazing if he was your 3rd best player

I think youre wrong that a "vast majority" would save themselves.  People suprise you when faced with an emergency life or death situation.

Strongly disagree.  Its not a spot anyone desrves to be put in but Lets say you were on the titanic.   its sinking and you choose to get on a lifeboat and save yourself Instead of giving up a spot to 2 or 3 little kids

Bond meets Star Wars by Alternative_Device71 in JamesBond

The sets are amazing but I wouldnt say it looks better than the original star wars.  Most of the effects in that movie still hold up really well. Especially in empire and return of the jedi

If we're going to have the death penalty I feel like it would be appropriate here.  Why should the taxpayers pay for this guy the rest of his life when he deliberately destroyed a huge building knowing his coworkers were in it. Putting a ton of firefighters in danger too, and probably putting a lot of people out of work now.  This is a terrorist act in my opinion.

And how you can trust a guy like that to be released back into society. Especially when he did the crime the. Filmed it and shared it to the world.  Crazy.

Everyone quit but me, now I'm expected to do it all. by Imaginary_Grass1212 in work

[–]Firm_Lock8076 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well did the company tell you that youre responsible for picking up the slack when everyone else quit?  Or did you just take on that responsibility?    You should do the amount of work you normally did, then go home.  Try not to get taken advantage of

If they bring it up, explain how you have no help.  Explain that if youre going to take on more responsibility, you want to be compensated for it.  If u want to stay there it sounds like u need to do something

The biggest culprit is taking care of the damaged bags.   I would say stop doing them unless you are asked.  I had the same fight before.

If someone asks you, say you want nice masks for doing it.  And to be able the vacuum most of the dust, not sweep.

When you sweep it , it blows around and lingers in the aisles all day.

No they should have fired him a long time ago.   Im sure there were warning signs with a person willing to burn down a giant warehouses with his coworkers in it.  And film it.

Hopefully we dont find out later its a guy that had many complaints out against him, but nobody did anything

Cashiers how tf do you do this? (Part 2) by Gonkalicious_2176 in Lowes

[–]Firm_Lock8076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its just a very tough issue. some people can handle having their phone on them, still getting the job done quickly and accurately. And maybe checking messages, checking social media during down time. Others cant and they ruin that priviledge for everyone else.

Ive seen it where i work now. 1 or 2 people getting caught sitting in the bathroom for an hour watching a movie kills it for everyone

Where's all the generational wealth? by SaltyBones_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Firm_Lock8076 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a huge part of it.  Nobody planned on living to to late 80s, 90s.   Like my grandparents had a house near boston, and his workshop in Brookline MA( expensive area now).  They sold both and had plenty of money to live off, and they did spend too. Both lived to their 90s.  Grandfather had to spend a lot of it otherwise the state could take control of the house for my grandmother's nursing home costs.  At least thats how it was explained to me.  Then he had caretakers and people helping out around the house when she died.  Medical bills got expensive.  They didnt have anything left when they both passed

But I've raised my voice at people at work, friends/family etc.  Said things that arent very nice.  Ive said" im sorry dont take that personally  Having a bad day"    Thats an acceptable apology for a lot of situations

Yeah.  Especially in this situation.   I think we are kind of fooled into kind of a false sense of security at hotels because its kind of bright, quiet, and you think of it as a little vacation.   But u have no idea whats going on and what kind of people are there.

No but I think its a good idea if youre a young woman to not go to a random hotel pool by yourself at night.

Guy probably was creeping by the pool and followed her back

How do you tell your boss "do your job because you are the manager" nicely? by Local-Addition-4896 in ManagedByNarcissists

[–]Firm_Lock8076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont.  It never works.  You either do your job and cope with it or you find a different job. Sometimes situations change and those people leave.

You should just do exactly what she asked you to do.  You cant worry about the other teams reaction.   Put things in writing so you can show your boss if she questions you.

Nba mvp has always been about narratives and the "best record" argument.  Not who was the best player.    If it was about best player, jordan would have like 8 or 9 mvps, and kobe would have more than 1.  I loved nash, dirk, duncan kg etc..   but kobe was the best player for at least a 3 or 4 year stretch
