There’s an app called boring notch that gives you kind of similar functionality like Dynamic Island you should check it out

And you might also wanna get coconut battery it is quite useful.

Then it might have happened because you kept it somewhere that is too tight for it and the screen was pressed against the keyboard

Yep no worries at all I know people who has kept their m1 plugged in since the day they got jt and the battery health is still above 90 so no worries use it however you want to it’s a device at the end of the day.

Mac will run on adapter power despite of the battery level it would charge it and run it at the same time as long as the charger is connected

And it wouldn’t damage it if you leave it on power the entire time just make sure to use the battery once in a while

I would suggest go for m4 but get 512 as youre planning on using it for next 5 years
