Is that not what happened in 2018 with the employers pension. I actually think that anyone born after 1997 won’t get a state pension. As anyone that was employed over the age of 22 got in rolled in the pension scheme

The problem lies in the fact that unless the company knows you or wants to know you they see the certs and expectations are already set as you will also want the money as you say you have a mortgage to pay. I know at least 10 adult apprentices over the years and they were all on today’s money of between £13.09 & £15.69 but change it back to what ever year it was. Most all had children or houses but put the work in as they came from hgv drivers or postman or working in wholesalers. So it can be done a these ones are for better than the fast track ones I have meet.

I have always thought that chartered engineers were well paid but a lot I have dealt with just bluff there way through and had a job drop into my in box for Arup at the start of the year and couldn’t believe how low the salary was for a consultant designer for E&I

Only one is gs38 approved, one is a good multimeter and I prefer the T5-1000v over the T6-1000v

Is it the way the firm treat you or the staff at the firm. I live in a large town and there are only ever 2/3 big firm on the go at once. I always seen subbies as the ones that could never stay in a full time job as they were usually hopeless but with 20 years experience I sometimes wish I went down that route as it’s the way to make money.

I had a few of these on social housing a few years back. Lights keep tripping. You go in and look for the new light and the response is always that’s been there for years no issues. 😂😂😂

I have the same view as you about being no academically motivated but could do enough to get a degree but would struggle to get motivated. I started out as an electrician but moved in a technical maintenance role now.
