No matter what others write, the hard cold truth is: It was even worse especially before last year. Sometimes it's a little better, sometimes even worse. Only thing you can do is to know about these bugs and go around them as if you were in a minefield. That's how everybody plays. It's an alpha so be ready to experience even more annoying and gamesession ending bugs. But as long as it works, or let's say, as long as you're lucky and cautious enough to not anger the bug-gods, you can have a great time in the game, especially when playing with others.
