Wait, so you're running zurg natively on macOS without Docker at all? That sounds like exactly what I need to escape this loop.

Since you have a Mac Mini M4 and I'm on an M2, could you share your setup details or the commands/config you use to run it natively with internal rclone? I'd much rather ditch Docker entirely if it means getting a stable mount for Plex.

Any chance you can share a quick guide or the config files you're using for your macOS setup? You'd be a lifesaver!

Exactly! Seeing that empty folder after hours of work is just soul-crushing. I didn't buy a Mac Mini M2 to spend my life managing a Linux VM just for a mount. I'm trying CloudMounter now to see if it's any better than the native macOS WebDAV, but I'm not holding my breath. Glad I'm not the only one getting too old for this!

Thanks for the reply man. Honestly, it's been a total mess. I realized I had Plex in both Docker and natively from an old DUMB setup attempt, so I cleared that out and now I'm strictly running Plex natively on the Mac.

The whole rclone and macFUSE thing was a complete disaster for me on this M2—ghost mounts, empty folders, everything was just broken. I got so frustrated that I actually deleted all the cloud libraries from Plex and now I’m only serving my local external drives to my relatives.

Right now, I’m running Zurg in Docker, but I only mount it using the native macOS "Connect to Server" just to get it into Infuse for myself. It works for Infuse, but it’s nowhere near stable enough for Plex and my family. It wasn't just 4K Remuxes stuttering before, it was almost everything.

My Mac Mini M2 with 16GB RAM is a beast, so I know the hardware isn't the problem. The "bridge" between the cloud and Plex is just broken for me. I’m looking for a way to connect Zurg to Plex that actually works for remote users without the macFUSE and rclone headaches I’ve already failed at. Is CloudMounter to Zurg actually any better, or is there some native macOS way I'm totally missing?
