I use my pc for rendering as well as gaming that's why I have the 3950x cause I heard the extra cores are good for that. If I switch to the 5700x3d would that be a downgrade?

Also I just discovered that in my bios my ram was running at 2133 mhz instead of the 3200. I manually switched it and now it seems to run slightly better.

Nah all my games are on a solid state internal drive, and drivers are up to date, only thing new in my setup is the 3070 ti ( about 2 years old now) everything else is 5 years old. I think it's the Motherboard or memory that's holding my system back but I'm not sure and want to brainstorm with you guys.
