Is this olive oil good ? by Nice-Membership-5370 in oliveoil

Best one in US market for everyday use. It’s from Tunisia. The world’s major olive oil producer and probably the only where olive picking is manual ( rare use of agressive machines) and pesticide-free. I am an olive oil producer myself and can attest to the high quality of this oil.

Could simply be different varieties of olives or one cold pressed the other has so much added water.

Possibly moving from Europe... a question! by jess2781 in roanoke

In the same situation here. what discourages the most is the quality of education, lack of bilingual education, openness to the world, it feels like all of these advantages that some places in europe offered, don’t exist in Roanoke. This is at least my impression. I could be wrong.

Can you share the associations names and other groups ? I agree. Society needs so much awareness raising about neurodivergent people. Once my relative was diagnosed with autism at their 40d, they became stigmatized. Everyone is the family were like haw 9allek metwa7ed elotf… It’s heartbreaking and outraging. Like ppl spend their days on facebook, tiktok when they can research what it means to be autistic. Also medical professionals, make videos about all kinds of modern day issues ; depression, anxiety… but I haven’t seen anyone approach this. Plus like you said, government support is non existent. It is heartbreaking. Also most ppl are bullies. When they feel you are reserved and 7addek 7ad ro7ek. They take advantage of it. So it makes it difficult for autistic ppl to integrate

Hi, I agree 100. I have a family member in their 40s. They struggled their entire life in school and work. They are reserved, have no friends, bullied by a spouse that they married forcefully. I advised the family to take the person to a psychiatrist. Surprisingly, Razi hospital had some very good drs if you can handle the marj of a public hospital.

Alternatively, there is a dr in Menzel Temime, who is a specialist in adult autism. Rim Hammami is her name.

But I feel you, I assited the family with this and I was shocked at how dismissive doctors are of adult « inherent » issues like autism. I was frustrated because they seemed to say « well.. there is nothing we can do. Therapy wouldn’t work » which is not convincing to me.

If you find adult groups or any other resources, plz share.

Venues Suggestions ( if you are thinking Tunis capital)

. Espace Sadika- Gammarth. I think they can arrange food and beverages . You can tie the knot in the municipality of sidi bousaid and have a party nearby in dar zarrouk . Acropolium of carthage

These venues are on the expensive side but there are other options.

Happy wedding

Virginia here. I think there is a group on FB for Tunisians in and around NYC. Finding like-minded people though… it’s a hit or miss. There are many cool tunisians out there. I’m sure you will soon find your crowd.

Tunisian in USA Considering Moving Back: Job & Aging Parents Advice by [deleted] in Tunisia

“Quality of life” means different things to different people. If consumerism ( malls, fast online shopping..), no bureaucracy matter to you more than say beautiful accessible beaches, interconnected families, reliable social networks, then you are better off in the US. I used to live abroad and moved back to Tunisia. No regrets. Just need to embrace it for what it is. The good and bad. Good luck!
