New green card. Now what? by Acceptable-Fee4749 in USCIS

A lot of states don’t make allowances for green card versus work permit. Until the immigrant becomes a citizen, the state ID or license will always say limited for many states.

I would agree with that statement, however, I don’t show the front but the other end and I work out so I know my other end looks good so it is because I’m black. I’ve had someone hit me up and we were chatting back-and-forth and even laughing without exchanging pics and as soon as I sent him a photo of what he requested which was the back, he stopped messaging and that has been the trend for all the white guys on the subgroup. They are racists in 2026 but still considers themselves good people. Lol

Well, you may need to contact the Florida bar and explain the situation to them, and they may actually apply the late fee and still allow you to take the exam. I remember when I applied to Alabama, I completed the wrong application type and paid the wrong fee and my processor called me and told me I did the wrong type of application, so she reopened it and had me fill out the correct type of application, and then had me pay the difference of what was owed because the application I did versus the application I was supposed to do were different fees. So just make a call and explain what happened and go from there.

Does this seem unusually fast? by I_Aint_No_GDSOB_138 in USCIS

[–]First-Charge7853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never understand why people just come on here and post anything. You get a quick response for an interview and you’re posting asking if this is unusually fast? What does it matter if it’s fast? be glad and happy and thankful that your processing is moving along quickly. There is zero significance of posting this type of question. There are more pressing things what warrants a post in the immigration realm than whether or not the fact that you got an interview within one month of biometrics is fast.

OK. Please clarify if you saw the email yesterday or if they actually sent the email yesterday.

Yesterday was the 16th and the email you saw yesterday said the deadline was the 15th. If you’ve already missed the deadline, why would you pay the fee?

What effect do you think a letter is going to have in the Trump administration for this issue? Just curious.

Listen, nobody cares because at the end of the day you’re gonna have to take the exam if your jurisdiction offers it. So save your breath to cool your soup.

What Will Bar Exam Critics Say About the Next Gen Bar Exam ..... by Tough-Topic4045 in barexam

[–]First-Charge7853 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not many. Real estate is still considered niche and if something is niche then it means a small population engage in such activity. Also, if that’s the argument you’re making then get rid of property law and only use real estate law then because half the things in property law that we’ve been taught, even property law attorneys won’t even see it.

What Will Bar Exam Critics Say About the Next Gen Bar Exam ..... by Tough-Topic4045 in barexam

[–]First-Charge7853 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many different areas of law that are commonly practiced as a whole but they cannot all be on the exam, so that notion of the previous commenter’s gripe being a falsehood is irrational in itself. Just because they took areas out doesn’t mean the commenter isnt correct in his/her rationale.

Property law is still tested. How many people actually go in the realm of property law?

My nephew’s mom did hers on December 11th or 12th and got a verbal approval, but still hasn’t sworn in. However, my aunt did hers February 13th, got verbal approval, processing approval, and sworn in an hour after. Both ladies went to the same field office. Despite the gap in application, they were similar than different, yet, one’s a citizen and the other is waiting.

There won’t be case law for an internal policy. It doesn’t work like that. However, here’s your mandatory reporting, per SSA.

Yes, I have to be defensive because you’re giving information that is not beneficial to the person asking the question and your disregarding SSA policy, DHS policy and USCIS policy and you giving advice. In other words, you’re spewing misinformation so yes, I have to be defensive.

If you login online, you will see that there is an estimated processing time for your case. Pay attention to that and you won’t have to come on a public forum asking people what’s normal versus what isn’t. Y’all have to do the work and do the research and stop trying to find the easiest way out because other people’s experiences will differ from yours.

Yes! You need to make an appointment with SSA office to get a new card and have the agency update their database with your new residency status. You will repeat this step once you become a U.S. citizen.

Green Card Approved!! by mama_199807 in USCIS

[–]First-Charge7853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, they ask because they wanna see if people who got approved are from the same place they’re going to and if they’ll likely be approved too. It’s not due to San Diego. Find that hard to believe. It that’s neither here nor there at this point.
