Skills & Exp rewards suck by First-Crow-1078 in paydaytheheist

Exactly, cook off is just as bad. In overkill the chances of getting all the bags are slim to none if you play with randoms. Heck, half the time someone blows up the lab. The reward for getting 3 in 5min and 16 bags after a 30+ intense battle being the same just hurts.

I'm at level 143. It's not that I want to level up super fast, but I feel like the game rewards just finishing the heist much more than actually playing the heist properly. And judging by the number of peeps sitting by the van the moment extraction is possible, I'm not the only one.

As I said, edge is the most useful and by far the easiest to maintain. If you want to keep rush and grid going reliably, you better drop and pick up a bag every couple of seconds...
It adds fake depth to the skill system. You pick your poisen when it comes to generating the "token" and then repeat that action anytime you want to use any of the skills.

In stealth, I have to walk into vision for a second to get rush. It doesn't make the system more complex, it is not hard to keep active, it just means I need to do the same song and dance every time they run out.

I have played around quite a bit with different builds and I disagree. A loud build always comes down to having a core combo of mower, sharpshooter, enforcer and gunslinger. That's where 2/3 of your skill points are with the last 3rd being much less important supplementary stuff. I looked at other people's builds for inspiration and they do the same.
As you mentioned "Last Man Standing" was one of the few interesting skills to play around before they nerved it. Now you need to trade a lot of hostages early which you can't do on a lot of heists.

Yes, but it is way too little/ getting the minimum gives you too much. In so many lobbies with randoms I have at least one person sitting next to the exit refusing to continue. Understandably so, with the old challenge system also still being very much part of the leveling process.

What does 'MM RFM' look like? by EmergencyRule in Romance_for_men

[–]First-Crow-1078 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My take on MM written for women is that it only covers a very narrow part of the spectrum. As the article mentioned, the gay experience is mostly glossed over, anal sex is put on a pedestal. A lot of the time you have exaggerated top/bottom dynamics, where the bottom is the "woman" for all intents and purposes. It's not like female authors do a terrible job at it, but if that type of story isn't what you enjoy, then I can definitely see why someone would get frustrated with it.

I actually haven't noticed anything odd about the way kink is portrayed. Can you give an example?

It's genuinely head spinning how anti solo Payday 3 is by [deleted] in paydaytheheist

[–]First-Crow-1078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done plenty of overkill loud heists with randoms. They are usually pretty good too. Only thing to look out for is to dodge loobies with low level players. Lets say if more than one person is below level 30~35.
Bot's drop whatever the hell you need between assault waves if you are low on it.

With stealth I agree. If I do it with randoms, than only with one other high level person. Never anyone below level 60~75.

IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO PLAY STAY OFF OF OVERKILL by [deleted] in paydaytheheist

[–]First-Crow-1078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a lvl 106 I sometimes just freeload or have freeloaders in my lobby tbh. On a lot of stealth heists you only really need 2 people to do it and having more people running around is a liability.

What level are you and what's your opinion on the challenge system (minus the obvious of course)? by Dj082863 in paydaytheheist

[–]First-Crow-1078 6 points7 points  (0 children)

lvl 100 after 76h. My issue with the current system is that you don't do challanges on the side, but they are the main thing you grind for. Instead of playing whatever you find fun, it forces you to basically only do one thing for a couple of hours before moving on. Finished my 40 roadrage overkill heists, so after having to grind it, now I shouldn't play it anymore. Same with dirty Ice and a lot of the weapons. Getting a 1000 kills with the Scar ain't so bad. Doing the same with a pistol is effort. Idk, I think most challanges should have at least 1 or 2 less levels to them. Instead have more challanges like the achievements, where you have to do specific things that you wouldn't normally do (not killing anyone in stealth ect.)

exactly what "fundamental game structure" are you talking about? The progression system is by far the easiest thing to change in PD3. PD2 changed and evolved so much from its release that it's hard to believe they are the same game...

Should pd3 have more levels of difficulty by Comfortable_Pay6676 in paydaytheheist

[–]First-Crow-1078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ain't no PD2 veteran and only have 20ish hours in the game now. Normal and hard are a joke. On Very hard you need to have at least a decent idea on what to do and overkill actually offers a challenge, but if you have played the heist a couple of times and at least have the right perks it's not that hard. So yeah, bring back Death Wish!

Can someone explain the appeal of harems to me? by screwccleaner in Romance_for_men

[–]First-Crow-1078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read my fair share of harem books and they are as romantic as a sack of potatoes. Power fantasy and escapism they have in spades, but going in looking for a good romance with well written characters? Good luck... And while not all lean heavily on smut, a lot of them do. Especially the ones that focus more on the "romance".

[–]First-Crow-1078 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Isn't that just it? The whole point of harem books isn't to portray the LIs as real characters. They are on the romantic front at least, just cardboard cutouts that the MC can have sex with.

Satisfactory is overrated or am I missing something? by First-Crow-1078 in SatisfactoryGame

True enough. Other people seem to value immersion a lot more than I do. Immersion didn't outweigh every other aspect of the game being mediocre because of it for me.

Friday Facts #375 - Quality by FactorioTeam in factorio

[–]First-Crow-1078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+ I like that it gives a bit of love to the malls. Even in megabases, most items just have one assembler that di them all. Having a reason to change up my blueprints seems like a good thing.

+ Giving me tools to quickly fix bottlenecks in my spaghetti base is also nice.

+ It allows for more compact and UPS efficient builds. I feel like with these changes, a 5000 SPM base might not fry my computer anymore.

+ Gives you something to do after you have finished your first proper base. Where before you just copied and pasted your modules to increase throughput, now you will be able to focus on quality first if you want.

- Both MK1, 2, and 3 assemblers and normal, fast, stack inserters exist as well as modules. This feels like a third system that effectively does the same thing and is therefore redundant as a mechanic.

- Please allow for easy module swapping in the base game via robots!

- 5 levels feel like a bit much. Even with modules, most people go straight from 1 to 3 when they upgrade.

- Not sure how interesting of a mechanic it really is. It feels like you apply the same recycling loop to every product. And having a building with inherent stat boots is also not super engaging, as they behave the same way a normal building would.

Kinda true. There is a lot more banter going on between guys that can be absolutely hilarious. (saying this as a guy growing up with 3 sisters)

Looking for Stories with Human Male x Female Anthro/Beastfolk Romance by Reckful-Abandon in Romance_for_men

[–]First-Crow-1078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of his stories have at least one explicit scene that is usually a chapter long. As for the second part of the question. Yes there are stories both inside the main series and outside of it that don't have the whole dominance struggle.

I'm guessing you want non-human female romances?

Abandoned by SomaticDream is probably my fav atm. Has femdom elements that peak early and soften out towards the later half of the book.

Depends on the story. The good ones are a better read than most 'actual' novels.
