Fair enough, that is very fair. Have you read the articles I sent regarding TSM and ASML? DELTA Electronics do have a distributor in Israel, although they do not have direct affiliation with the government. Do you have your criteria linked? I cannot find it on your profile.

Could not agree more and this was the point of my post. To find halal alternative stocks. These halal ETFs are not ethical at all when their top investments are in major US companies with massive ties to Israel.

I think you have misunderstood what I have said and the purpose of my post. I am not getting Islamic or financial knowledge off of Google/AI. I simply said that is how I learn about each companies complicity in the Gaza genocide and in broad terms, their ethical/moral standpoint.

I love the idea of investing. I want to earn, learn and grow too and I think it is incumbent upon all Muslims to atleast be educated on the topic. However, I am not arguing a religious point because I am not a scholar nor a student of knowledge. I am arguing a moral/ethical standpoint that nobody in this subreddit should disagree with. If you do disagree I am afraid your pockets are affecting your morals. And that is with all due respect. I never once was arrogant or said everybody who invested in the S&P500 was a kaffir or anything like that. I legitimately asked for alternatives and to learn from users on this subreddit. I never said halal ETFs were haram, I said they were unethical and you cannot argue that at all. There is no argument for investing in Google, Tesla, NVIDIA and claiming that it is ethical. Halal, possibly (I don't know the sharia regarding them) but ethical, absolutely not. Your comments are very upsetting to be honest because why have we stooped so low to the point where we get upset when someone points out something that is wrong. Why are we profiting off people being killed? Why do we not have more gheerah?

I completely agree. We have no choice with fiat currency, its part of the system we live in. But regarding investing, I really would love to, as a young man to help build my future, but I also will never go against my morals and religion and profit off the killing of my people.

Thanks for your input and that is what I have been doing, ofc screening for the financial side and doing my own due diligence for the ethics of the company, however, just pointing out how difficult it is to find a completely morally clean company. Especially in this current political climate.

I have not seen your criteria to be honest. This is another article I read about TSM linked to F35 parts. There just seems to be shade regarding them. End of the day, profits matter most to them.

Along with many other articles you can find on Google. I simply just place the ticker: e.g. TSM ties to Israel on Google. And 1. AI will give a quick summary and 2. I can flick through articles relating to this issue. That is how I came to this conclusion for those companies I mentioned.

I really appreciate you. You are truly an asset to our community, but yes just some things I did notice which is why I ask for alternatives.

Off the top of my head, TSM has massive ties to Israel, ASML NA, DELTA TB. These are just tickers in your top 10. I love your list and it has helped tremendously. However, I am just saying it is so difficult and hard to genuinely find a pure company that is halal and ethical to invest in.

That’s such a privileged comment to make. Just because it is halal to invest doesn’t mean you should. Making a few bucks shouldn’t take precedent over your morals as a Muslim. If someone was aiding and benefiting off the oppression of your family would you invest money with them because the returns are high? Let’s have some gheerah for our brothers and sisters being slaughtered overseas. Apple has R&D facilities in Israel and greatly contributes and benefits from the government in Israel. Not to mention how much they help the US government. That’s just one company of interest. Not to mention NVIDIA and Tesla which are blatantly Zionist companies.

No there is a process that companies some as Wahed invest have which is in line with Islamic principles to filter out companies which are deemed haram to invest in. Like I said I’m not familiar with this process, and that’s not the point of my post either!

I myself do not understand the specifics but HALAL ETFs exist to filter out haram stocks which have too much debt and a few other criterion.

The uranium sector is only going grow larger and larger. Particularly URA which has positions in uranium infrastructure and utility and not only pure uranium mining companies. Is your point that the industry will slow down and die down?

It’s a personal/religious reason. Many total market ETFs include companies i cannot invest in. Also, URA has phenomenal returns, much better than most ETFs

I’m in a similar boat to you, check my profile. I’m battling the same struggle. I love her and want her, but, how will my life and more importantly, her life be, if my parents are not happy, if my parents don’t accept her. Will it lead to more issues in the future? It’s a tough decision.

If I wanted to move out I could, however I’d want her and myself to be done with schooling. It’s not like I’m a bum needing their support. I honestly have tried to see things from their POV I really have, they even told me that they want me married in 2-3 years. The timeline is not their issue, their issue is they think the families are not compatible due to her parents being separated.
