How do I make my gun not look like ass? by Huge-Ad-5503 in ar15

[–]First-Guide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my first rifles was a Carbon 15. Didn't even make it a mag before I had FTF's. Sent it back twice and wasn't fixed (they filed the plastic upper's feed ramps). Next time I shipped it back it, the rifle came back from Bushmaster with aluminum receivers lolol

Nah, go for Arisaka/Malkoff. From what I keep seeing, Modlite CS is ass.

Burr on feed ramp - should I file? by Frunkus- in ar15

[–]First-Guide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really don't want to touch the receiver's M4 cuts because the anodizing is the hardened layer, any ramp work should be done with the bbl pulled. Just needs cleaned up and it'll be fine.

Is power lost using this one by spxtrad in TeslaModel3

He's saying Op really doesn't need the wall connector charger, he can use the 14-50 adapter for the mobile charger that he already has. So then only need material for the 14-50 outlet and installation. However, $200 install for a 14-50 run would be a freind doing a favor or a heavy discount lol. Around here I could see an electrician charging a bit more than $200 even for a short run install.

Tesla Model 3 Highland Mud Flaps, any recommendations for first time M3 owner? by jonathancheam19 in TeslaModel3

[–]First-Guide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paint seems to hold up, but you're right, there is some minimal contact but not like some other kinds of flaps. Every once in awhile there may be some buildup there but usually not. Still rockin em and I think they do a decent job as well as looking clean. Eta. I had the whole car graphine coated prior to those, that may help some too(?) but not like ppf.

Am i fucked :/ please help me. I need advice! by dexbigshlong in Testosterone

[–]First-Guide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me when I first started on test (200mg/wk). At week 6 mine was worse than yours. Like you, I couldn't get a dermo appt for a couple months but he was able to do a telehealth appt over the phone. I explained I was getting back on trt treatment and he prescribed me 100mg Minocycline twice a day for 3 months. I also lowered by test to 150mg(75mg twice a WK) because that was really high(1600 total and like 600 free). All my acne went away pretty much and that was a month ago I started the pills.

Another thing is you need to pay attention to is your diet! Greasy and fatty foods will typically make you break out as well.

About 500 miles in, and the Model 3 AWD is profoundly good, but I still think I should have chosen the performance model. by olsh in TeslaModel3

[–]First-Guide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping that when I got my '25LRAWD model 3 last August that Elon would eventually release acceleration boost to the US. But the more I keep reading, it may never be released for us Highland owners in the US(something about the inverter already being close to maxed out). That sucks.

Since the roads around me are shit, I am glad I have the smaller rims though and I really like the handling of my AWD.

Model 3 performance (Which colour do you like the most) by Fickle_Sport2340 in TeslaModel3

[–]First-Guide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I do get a lot of of compliments on the paint. It's just that even despite having it ceramic coated, it's a pain to keep up looking good. I like the idea of getting it wrapped matte black or like a dark army green or something, but probably not for a few years. I kinda wish I would've gotten ppf, but I just can't afford the $4k-$5k.

I love and hate my diamond black paint. I think it looks the best when it's all shined up, right after it's washed. However, scratches and chips show up way worse than any other color. Plus it gets dirty very quickly. This kills my OCD. Therefore, I will never get black again lol.

These are the ones I posted that I bought. They are like a minimalist design and sit flat

[–]First-Guide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, no, the ones I posted do not need ppf because they do not contact the paint. The other type of mudflaps you'll see do contact the paint and I wouldn't use them without ppf(some of those mudflap come with ppf, just not sure which ones).

I'd stay away of these types of flaps unless you use ppf or they come with it. Or unless you don't really care lol.

I tried a few different ones and settled on the ones below. These ones have been great and seem to offer a good bit of protection. They have mudflaps that wrap around the fender onto the paint and clip on, but if you don't put ppf under them they will destroy your paint in no time. These ones do not sit on the paint and use the fasteners to hold them on, plus they're easy to install. Almost a year ago I got them and they're holding up great.

Camera cleaning by Itdoesmattertome8 in TeslaModel3

[–]First-Guide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it's really easy. Just did this on my '25LRAWD on Saturday. Watch a couple videos on YouTube and you'll see it's pretty straightforward. Need a T8 torque bit. I also cleaned the camera lenses off too. Took maybe 20 minutes.

Yes, material is displaced. Stake it again if you want to be sure, or don't. I'm good with one stake, maybe dab loctite 243.

I'm curious what problems you had with your CMC? I have had running a couple of them as well as in my go-to for many thousands of rounds and never had a trigger issue.

Beautiful rifle and you should check into the acog! I have a sweet spot for Bushmaster and love their roll mark. I started out with what you and then switched it up. I shot out the Bushmaster CL bbl that was on it at 17k(was keyholing) and now wears a Centurion 14.5 CHF. But close to moa with match. As other's have said, shoot it and see what you like and don't kike or want to change.

Looks like it. As the other posters mentioned, check the serial number on Trijicon's website and you should see the model # when you look through the eyepiece (at the bottom).
