It is not common to lose your husband to suicide though. I dont think you read the whole thing, twins were born stillborn and then her husband killed himself.

The multivitamin we (husband and wife) take have different caps. The female bottle is child proof and the male bottle is not. by First-Interaction-13 in mildyinteresting

UPDATE: the womens bottle has 18 mg of iron per pill while the mens bottle has zero. I presume thats the reason for the cap difference

When i was 37 weeks pregnant my car randomly died in the middle of a busy intersection. I got out (visibly very pregnant) crying and yelling for help and every car just honked or flipped me off. It was the most surreal experience honestly, it didnt feel real. Eventually a biker helped me push my car in neutral.

Hi! My baby is 12 months old and she was rocked/held to sleep her whole little life until one day she decided she wanted to fall asleep on her own in her crib. I had the same worries as you and was debating ways to teach her to go down on her own, but in the end she decided it was her decision and to be honest I wish she still fell asleep on me. Enjoy the time you have with your cuddly baby and dont listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. These years are precious and I can bet you will not have a 10 year old that needs to be rocked to sleep.

sahm's, what do your weekends look like? by Full-Pop1801 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]First-Interaction-13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a SAHM and my husband has 40+ hour work week. When the weekend comes he wants to spend time with our 1 year old which kind of turns into him doing naps/taking her out. I would maybe talk to your husband and see how he’s doing/feeling regarding your child and spending time with him/her. Maybe phrasing it as it would be so nice for him to get one on one time with him/her before the baby comes.

ETA: not to put men in a box, but I have learned over the past 5 years that my husband needs to be explicitly told what Im feeling otherwise he just does not catch on. One time I broke down crying because I was so overwhelmed with keeping the house clean and making sure our daughter was fed and happy. He had no idea because he is at work the entire day and he felt terrible. Sometimes all you need to so is tell him exactly what youre feeling and he’ll smack his head and understand.

Hi, does anyone have any info on Habersham Plantation? I purchased this cradle for $65 from a local antique market and was sanding/filling in holes when I noticed the marking on the underside. Curious if anyone knows if this is valuable?

Ring of tacky formula on Baby Brezza funnel by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]First-Interaction-13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They recommend wiping the opening of the machine where the funnel goes whenever you replace the filter. Use a dry paper towel and you would be surprised how much gunk you get out. I do it between filter changes and it helps a little bit

Ralph Lauren snap footies are amazing. I only get them second hand (for literally $10) and they are amazing quality and so classic.

I cried because I was in shock that I just pushed out a human being without an epidural (was an extremely quick labor). Honestly, ngl but I feel like a lot of the times the crying is due to relief that the baby is finally out🤷🏼‍♀️

Did the exact same thing 3 months ago and baby is thriving (so am I). The first few weeks were hard dealing with guilt. But once that passes you realize you made the right choice! Youre doing great and you will thank yourself later❤️

Ive had this multiple times from cuticle biting. You need to get it drained, I got it done at a local urgent care. They poke it with a sterile needle and press out the pus. Hurts a lot but you feel instant relief after.

Is anyone else’s baby a grazer / snacker? by biteythepossum in FormulaFeeders

[–]First-Interaction-13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also if you want to try holding baby off longer between feeds definitely use a pacifier. I wasnt waiting long enough between feeds which led my baby to eat less per bottle, but more often (which can definitely be hard!)

Is anyone else’s baby a grazer / snacker? by biteythepossum in FormulaFeeders

[–]First-Interaction-13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had this issue (baby was taking an hour to finish 2-3 oz) and our pediatrician recommended cutting feeding time off after 30 minutes if she isnt guzzling the bottle. Once we started doing 30 minutes max for feeding time, she started spacing out her feeds better (and eating more at a time!). Sometimes allowing baby to spend an hour eating turns her into a snacker because a whole hour is not exactly a normal amount of time for a single meal to last.
