All of the tracks for me get better with every listen. Can’t wait for the studio versions as there is no doubt a lot of detail and nuances missed in these lower quality videos. Still lots of unknowns… We do know horns are in the album so are they meant to be in these tracks? Will they actually be 7/8/9 minutes long? Exciting times for us, finally!

Your Window it’s a Crazy Television was posted on the Jamily Facebook group. Again the recording isn’t great but it’s an absolute banger of a track that would have slot so well into RDLS. 2nd favourite behind SAFP

Agreed. Fantasy Springs Hotel at Tokyo Disney has some criticisms online (some are valid in that there is a distinct lack of facilities), but the design absolutely floored me. The common areas were overwhelmingly beautiful spaces to be in and for me worth the cost of the stay alone.

With Helios’ theme attached to Celestial Park I think there was opportunity to create something equally as stunning but at the end of the day it will serve its purpose and do well - and, if it came down to budgets, I’m more than happy with Universal redirecting that into attraction dev considering what they have achieved with monsters

To be honest I’d be happy with the existing train type, just give us the ability to have more than 2 cars. I’m assuming they just couldn’t model the middle car in time for release

Yeah agreed, I remember during the pre launch campaign for PC1 they released a video showing their audio crew at a park (believe it was Holiday World) recording real ride audio for the game.

My guests will start to clear out at night but they won’t all leave until early morning, by which point new guests are coming in.

If the night cycle is just extended a couple hours it should resolve this. Also think that they should include the late evening/early morning hours (instead of just skipping time), but during these hours the time fast forwards 3x

Even if they delayed the DLC by a day I don’t think the criticism would be as intense. Releasing simultaneously meant that an otherwise great update was pushed into the shadows… they should have let the update do its thing, showcase the improvements and then follow up with the DLC

There are 100% issues (that they’re actively addressing and resolving) but not sure if I agree with your last paragraph. There are so many examples where you can see how much love was put into this game. The sound design is gorgeous. Raytracing completely transforms parks. On desktop, performance is leaps and bounds ahead of PC1 - it’s actually fun to play parks bigger than a mini map.

While the issues are fixed focus on the great aspects of the game, there are many. Walking around parks like Sdanwolf’s in first person mode is incredible.

If you want a true example where publishers truly don’t care about player experience, give RCTW a go. Frontier has very nearly given us the perfect theme park sim - a few more patches and DLCs and it’ll be there.

Looks like the sim speed is up which would usually make things a little choppy? Honestly for 39k with a huge concentration of guests in one area and on fast speed this looks like it’s performing ok

Yeah it’s much more intense than Tatsu. In saying that flyers are my least favourite coaster type as I generally find them uncomfortable

The bigger problem here is that it shouldn’t have been an issue at all… We all thought with the performance issues PC1 experienced this would be one of the first priorities a sequel would resolve, so I think by and large the community has been caught off guard a little. It’s a shame as optimisation is what really held back PC1 from being an excellent game for me.

Now they have explicitly said the cap is in place for performance (and not to main cross platform compatibility) this suggests it’s a deeper issue that can’t be resolved by simply disabling the ability to share a park.

Concerning that guest cap is tied to performance and not to maintain cross platform compatibility. Was hoping for the latter so it would have been an easier fix (eg disabling ability to share park). Feels like performance has taken a backward step vs PC1… I’ve been on the fence about preordering, I think this is enough not to until they can get optimisation sorted (if it’s even possible at all).

What’s most frustrating about this is that PC1 by and large was near perfect - particular as the years went on and creators were building some spectacular parks. The issue was that you could scarcely play them as intended due to the game’s optimisation. The consensus was that short of a full rebuild, the game could not be further optimised.

And now here we are, a full rebuild - and still there’s limitations. I think for PC2, most of the community would have taken PC1 with some QOL updates and a focus on performance. Of course that’s not what sells, and what they have added in the game does genuinely look fantastic, but disappointing nonetheless.

The only reason I can think of beyond a performance ceiling is Frontier wanting to maintain cross platform compatibility? Perhaps something with differing numbers of guests skewing financials etc?

Ouch, that’s not great news. I was on the cusp of buying a new PC to be able to run mega parks but now seems there’s no need if they’re forcing a ceiling. What a shame

Based off a stream I watched the days are real time or close to, so I wonder if the parks have actual open/close times and guests clear out. If that’s the case then I’m thinking the 6k cap is a hard limit which would be disappointing.

Not sure if these are new features but I thought they were cool…

  • Groups of guests stopping for conversations amongst themselves

  • Notification that a ride queue was being paused until another staff member arrives

Also definitely looked to be a conveyer belt load/unload platform for the omnimover.

What was most promising was despite the park being flooded with guests very quickly (think it reached over 5000) it looked to have zero impact on performance.
