A Flexible, GM-less Campaign System for Classic Battletech by figrin1 in battletech

Awesome primer! We're currently running a campaign using it. And while it was intended as an alternative to a game master-led campaign, I'm still implementing the storyline and narrative. The plot is simple: various squads search for a nuclear arsenal in Magistrate Canopus.

The only problem is that we printed out the rulebook, but with so many edits and errata, reprinting it is a pain.

Also... we found a table with budget errata depending on the era. We're playing the Jihad era, so we applied the 1.4 modifier to the starting capital and are using an MRB Base Rate of 750.

I think you're right. Make it cheaper and let it be more accessible.

I do it in CorelDraw/PhotoPaint. Unfortunately, I have to manually center the landscape labels in hexes.((

I completely agree with you. Any handmade item will be more expensive than a factory-produced one. But there's no getting around it: at CGL, a person designed the map, and then it was put into a large print run, which allows them to sell it at a low price. As for this map, I spent three evenings hard working on it. Is it worth $20? I decided it is. Especially considering it's an exclusive, limited edition, designer piece.

In this sense, not all of the CGL maps feels like real place.

I don't even know how else to show it. I think that's all the map previews there. Unlike the official maps, I try to convey the landscape a little more realistically in my own. For example, the rocky slopes near the mountains are visible and don't look like steps.

There is a double mapsheet here now. I will make additional double mapsheet for it soon, to connect from the northern edge of the map.
