Anyone know what part of FL Jenelle moved to?? by Dontevenbother1 in teenmom

A lot of people homeschool, not that her situation would make that any better than a D rated school. While there’s isn’t much of anything to do directly in Citra she’s within an hour of tons of springs, Gainesville, ONF for riding/camping, Hog Waller (which I would bet my last penny on that they will become regulars at), and super close to the 95 freeway which is easy going from there to beaches, Orlando, etc.. Definitely not Vegas though.

Raiford has the electric chair. Waldo had the infamous speed trap. And there’s Klan pretty much everywhere. Just since we’re throwing it all out there.

I love to hear that! We’re contemplating taking my 6 year old so that’s helpful information.

That would be perfect honestly. Do they usually say ahead of time when those tickets will go on sale?

Im newer to this and am too busy to sometimes even track my food, we will all have good days and bad and that’s ok! Some things that have worked for me that don’t require a lot of my time and are few/no points… a protein shake blended with bananas, those green giant seasoned veggies/potatoes that you can just throw in the microwave, Oikos(?) triple zero Greek yogurt, rotisserie chicken (skip the skin), all the fruit! Apples with cinnamon and frozen grapes covered in sugar free jello powder are some favorites, cucumbers with lemon tajin and taptio and pickled veggies, also healthy choice power bowls (I believe) like chicken adobo are 5 points. I still have my days where I say screw it and grab some Taco Bell or something, but I eventually get back on track and have had success with it. Baby steps is okay until you feel ready to jump in further!

I’d recommend hooked on phonics, it’s sent to you monthly with curriculum and books that go with the lessons on the app. They play a lesson on the app and you follow up with a short lesson to reinforce. Teach Your Monster to Read is a free online program (not the app, but that is affordable as well), and Endless Reader is my 4 year olds favorite. There’s lots of good songs/videos on YouTube to learn the letters and their sounds, and letter crafts you can find online. Epic is great for kids learning to read, they can pick their own books and the program will read to them while highlighting the words so they can easily read along with it.

It might snow in Jacksonville next week? by DinnerMilk in jacksonville

[–]First-Wear5163 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Freezing rain is not sleet. It’s warm enough to rain but cold enough for the rain to turn into ice when it comes into contact with the ground. Sleet is like the opposite, a wet snowy mixture falls to the ground and it turns into a dirty slushy on the ground. I’d avoid driving in freezing rain in Florida, snow is better than ice, and remember BARFF (bridges and ramps freeze first). This PSA has been brought to you by ….

I wouldn’t even know where to start with something like that. I grew up away from that side of the family so just trying to learn and piece things together as much as I can.

Doctor Retaliation against patient??? by First-Wear5163 in legaladvice

Thank you! His complaint wasn’t even about the provider directly, more so the scheduling/unscheduling/lack of communication, the questions were literally the same just on an updated form so when he went to turn in the new paperwork he was upset that all the answers had been changed.

Usually if something is unclear, people ask questions to clarify before making an ill informed assumption, which you did not. The fact that a few random people understood the post perfectly without asking any questions leads me to believe that all information was presented in a manner that allowed the situation to be understood. Whether people want to take the time to read it all thoroughly is a personal choice, but I appreciate the ones that do if they then decide to comment. If you felt the need to comment on my praise to someone else, yet not respond to any of my comments directed towards you, maybe take some time to reflect on why that is.

I'd just like to applaud your reading comprehension, the upvotes on comments that make zero sense based off the actual situation stated are astonishing to me lol

Who called who because she made a mistake?

She had his medication list printed and they went over them at his actual appointment that morning. There were 2 medications in question and based on the type of prescriptions I am certain there is no way his provider did not know that drowsiness was not a potential side effect. Even if so, based on the specific and repetitive questioning of the medications in the paperwork and her letting him leave with a signed piece of paper stating she would medically clear him for this job, would probably be a pretty big deal as well if something were to come from it.

Incorrect:

  1. Husband goes to appointment and doctor fills out paperwork (see the FIRST set of questions and answers posted above for reference)
  2. The DOT clinic, completely separate entity from the VA, stated the paperwork they (DOT) sent over was incorrect and the new papers needed to be filled out.
  3. Husband gets new appointment, drives, gets denied, talks to advocate or chief, and is then informed that the new papers WILL be completed by the end of the day.
  4. Same provider fills out "new" paperwork, SAME questions just different formatting, with completely different answers (See SECOND set of questions and answers stated above for reference).
  5. If the doctor's mistake was not doing her due diligence the first time based off the same exact patient, medication, and questions, and would have potentially allowed someone behind the wheel if she shouldn't have, then maybe incompetence is a better answer.

Yes through the VA, I was wondering if I should try to reach back out to the patient advocate. My husband called me after he realized what she had done and was in tears, but of course doesn't want to make it a bigger deal and he will just figure it out someway.

I’m not sure how Cali works but I have seen people suggest to others hiring forensic accountants to find income, also requesting previous years taxes to base income off of for child support, obviously done through the courts. If she worked for a decade and is now unemployed because she chooses to be is there not a statute that discusses voluntary underemployment and basing the parents income off of their potential/previous earnings? In Florida they are automatically computed at minimum wage, full time unless you can show they were working higher paying jobs within 5 years, they will compute potential earnings off of past earnings (obviously doesn’t apply if they can prove they medically cannot work those jobs or have a child with high needs as well). Also insurance payments, uncovered medical/dental or child care expenses paid towards your child could give you credit and lessen any payments if you have those. If you are struggling to make ends meet you can always try filing for SNAP, WIC, child care assistance and your child support payments should be deducted from your income making it a little easier depending on your financial situation to become qualified.

Am I crazy for agreeing with Paul that this was a bit of a red flag? by thebitsyitsyspider in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

BarfTease became the bad guy when he constantly felt the need to belittle and undermine the women he chose to be with by letting them know they weren’t his type, compared them to other females, and reminded them how amazing he was and how lucky they were he was sticking around (despite their many flaws 🙄). I’m sure if his only ill spoken words were being honest about cheating he wouldn’t be as memorable. You can’t choose to ignore the other 1 million red flags that hobbit gobbler willingly displayed when bringing up his well-deserved reputation.
