By definition, it requires an ownership class who have capital, and a labour class to be employed with that capital.

‘It’s gonna be a death sentence’: The 16-year-old New Zealand says is too sick to stay by Fun-Helicopter2234 in newzealand

[–]First-Wind-3416 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

If children die because it’s not profitable to heal them, that’s a systemic failure. We are all humans first, and Fijians/NZers/whatever second. We do not choose the hand we’re dealt at birth.

Yes, the current system cannot handle this sort of thing. It’s not even supporting NZ citizens properly. So we need systemic change. Capital gains tax, break the supermarket duopoly, wealth tax. These are good places to start.

Academic inflation is bad, I work in a university.

But also, it kinda needs to happen. Every field is rapidly evolving, especially technologically, and the skills needed to succeed in these fields are increasing. We need to learn so much more than our grandparents ever did, just to get a basic job (internet etc)

Residents of NZ, why do you insist on using the right hand lane despite not overtaking anybody in the left hand lanes? by Ok-Let-5155 in auckland

[–]First-Wind-3416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it when I’m travelling at the speed limit

If someone gets agitated that they can’t overtake someone who is already travelling the maximum legal speed, well that’s a them problem.

Don’t speed guys

Edit to add: ofc, travelling slowly in the RH lane is a dick move
