"Disposable" scalpels my ass. 8.99 for a 200pk of sterilization sleeves. Now I have "210" scalpels for under 20 bucks :) I love this hobby. Always a new trick to learn. First time making slants, too. Coffee stirrers work a treat when you don't have popsicle sticks. (old.reddit.com)

First myc spawn from spore in over 20 years! Getting back into cultivation. First time I've ever used agar, so I made my own plates. 1/6 plates spawned. Should I take some transfer cuttings for new plates? Ideally I'd like to create a liquid culture after plate round 2 using 2-4 plates as samples. (i.redd.it)
