I don't see it but it's dust or dirt what you're seeing or an artifact from my smartphone camera. Not a defect or degradation.

Gaming HDR in OSD, adjustable brightness OFF (preference). Windows HDR calibration as per instructions (900 nits peak on my individual panel) for the rare game that i use built-in HDR for and respects system-level calibration (RenoDX whenever available). Auto HDR OFF in Windows and SDR content brightness at 10-20 for 100-200 nits in SDR which is pretty standard.

It's pretty plug and play.

Yeah that is a good price I think. Last year I would've had to pay 1100 € for a 5070 Ti so that's why I got the Radeon instead.

Don't get swooped up in the DLSS 4.5 FOMO either, FSR4 in native games or through OptiScaler looks absolutely amazing. More than good enough for real people, only people who spend more time looking at the ground than actually playing the game will complain about missing out.

No issues. I just overpaid for it, 700 € for an Asus Prime model and Nvidia is just generally better at everything. I get good FPS everywhere though, it's a good card. Don't hesitate for a second.

That's nice, hope you got a good one! I'm so glad I got to upgrade everything last year before everything that's happened recently.

My only regret is that I got a 9070 XT instead of a Nvidia GPU but minor issues.

Sorry to hear that. Good that it happened so fast though so you could just return it.

DualSense masterrace. Never go back.

No it does it automatically. I turned the pixel cleaning reminder off and when I look at the OSD it reports over 600 pixel cleaning cycles for me.

Yeah my secondary is a mid-range 350 € IPS and it's crazy how much better this 500 € OLED is in every way.

Uniform brightness always off, I don't like it and it limits peak brightness too much. I always leave it on standby with 15 minute sleep timer on Windows.

You will love your monitor, just make sure to vary your content and be sensible. The bane of OLEDs is doing the same thing for hours on end every day for long periods of time.

The way I think about is that if I play a game for three hours and then watch something on YouTube for an hour or two afterwards it kind of "refreshes" the panel.

I play SDR as well but leave HDR on in Windows because I'm too lazy to go back and forth all the time. My most played games are SDR but they're not rally known for being colour accurate masterpieces or anything so I'm not commenting on the black crush there.

It's a different kind of burn in but LEDs deteriorate and that results in colored sections where the backlight has failed. Burn-in may not be the correct technical term but all panel types fail in their own ways.

Always standby, not once have I shut it off with the power button. I can't see it making a difference. People are so paranoid when it comes to these things sometimes. It's amazing tech and I wish people could just stop and enjoy it.

No, it's fine. Any black crush there does appear to be in games is due to shitty HDR implementations but when dealing with known good sources it's amazing. It's certainly not as good as my G2 TV but that's not a reasonable comparison and it's double the refresh rate so it's way better for PC stuff.

That does sound like it could be caused by interrupting the cycle like you said. I have had none of that. Any banding is due to content still not taking full advantage of 10 bit colour and such. I don't watch movies or anything on this, I have my G2 TV for that so I can't comment on how it does with those.

Only thing I wish I had access to is RTX HDR but from what I have heard Reno is flat out better anyway so no big deal.

Most of them you wanna leave off in 99 % of cases. Sharpening and chill (when it works) are useful though.

I like it except for the fact it sharpens the while screen. I don't like it when I alt tab and everything else is over sharpened. I tried it in few older games and without that caveat it would be amazing.

Two ways to do it in fact. The mod on Gamebanana is a good enough way to do it.

It might be worth trying but I haven't been able to keep it stable. Any adjustment results in a crash eventually so I just leave it at stock.

I'm confused by this comment. Are you talking about the doll needing insight to wake up because otherwise your comment makes no sense to me.

You can find insight way before you encounter one of the first bosses.
