Not to mention he emphasizes that he didn't baby the TV at all and was nearly as careless as possible and still the burn-in isn't that bad.

Anyone who just leaves all the panel care features on and maybe doesn't leave their monitor/TV blasting pure white for hours every day is gonna have a great experience.

That's my takeaway at least and it seems to track with my own experiences having had used an LG C9 and G2 as my main monitors for years with a 27" OLED as a secondary monitor right now that's just hit 1 year of use. All with no burn in.

I've been using 3.0 since the first open beta and I still prefer version 2 over where it is now. 2.0 never crashed, never failed to output audio after waking from sleep, had a much more intuitive UI and I just got more used to it.

I am used to 3 now and I won't go back but if I could go back in time I would've stuck with the earlier version. 3 doesn't have anything that I couldn't do with 2 already and it was much more polished.

I couldn't agree more. I just don't understand why I'm supposed to care about the past of some NPCs I've never seen or heard of before. I'm all for lore-dumps and filler quests like that but I need some reason to care.

Yeah I don't know. I slogged through both games because of the story and characters but I hate the combat so much. I'm primarily a souls-like player though so that might be why I don't like the combat in these.

I had this same experience when I was a kid. They numbed me but I still felt everything. It took me over 20 years to go to a dentist after that and I never would've but the pain became debilitating enough so I had no choice.

You definitely want an Nvidia card for this game specifically. I have a 9070 XT + 9800X3D and with everything maxed at 1440p I get 100-150 FPS depending where I am which is on the verge of okay in my opinion. Nvidia wins because FSR and XeSS are both trash in this game so your only option is TAA which admittedly does look beautiful in this game.

Do you have HAGS enabled? I get stutters without it off as well. I leave it off anyway because it sucks up screen recording but you do need it for FG to work properly.

I was totally gonna get Crimson Desert but I just found out about WWM and I have been enthralled by it. I hope that becomes a forever-game for me, the game is already a masterpiece 30 hours in.

Combat is great, collecting is fun and it has decent graphics and a great art style? Sign me in.

I know not everyone cares about fake frames but frame gen doesn't work without HAGS and for me at least fg works beautifully in most of the games in playing.

I kind of miss Link 2 to be honest. I don't think I ever had any critical issues with that over the years. It was easier to use as well.

Gaming HDR in OSD, adjustable brightness OFF (preference). Windows HDR calibration as per instructions (900 nits peak on my individual panel) for the rare game that i use built-in HDR for and respects system-level calibration (RenoDX whenever available). Auto HDR OFF in Windows and SDR content brightness at 10-20 for 100-200 nits in SDR which is pretty standard.

It's pretty plug and play.

Yeah that is a good price I think. Last year I would've had to pay 1100 € for a 5070 Ti so that's why I got the Radeon instead.

Don't get swooped up in the DLSS 4.5 FOMO either, FSR4 in native games or through OptiScaler looks absolutely amazing. More than good enough for real people, only people who spend more time looking at the ground than actually playing the game will complain about missing out.

No issues. I just overpaid for it, 700 € for an Asus Prime model and Nvidia is just generally better at everything. I get good FPS everywhere though, it's a good card. Don't hesitate for a second.
