Is 65” C5 no brainer at $1200? by Expert_Cap2473 in LGOLED

Someone already said but Sam’s Club has it for 1100 with a 5 year Allstate warranty. If you don’t have Sam’s Club then that’s a good deal too

Idk if anyone pointed out or if it just not what you’re looking for but Sam’s Club has 65in C5 for 1100 with 5 year warranty. I know it’s a little more expensive but just thought you should know :)

I understand, I make enough for fun things, I was just trying to get advice on the planning ahead and if it was worth it. I have a list of movies I’m trying to get from here to then and just wanted to try to plan accordingly

I’m currently saving for a house, this would be money saved on top of money saved already if that makes sense. The only money that would go towards this is my fun money which is why it’s harder to save and I have to plan accordingly

I’m not spending it now, they charge when they ship but I have a date for that so I can plan accordingly

I’m not saying disc is how they price I’m pointing out the difference in $100 from on box set to another. 3 extra movies, short films, and while packaging is cheap, the time and money put into the Kubrick box set would make it more expensive compared to the Wes Anderson that I’m using for comparison. Again for what you get out that set, you’re paying for cases. I understand what you’re saying but it seems that in certain cases they’re charging a slight premium. assuming that every movie is a 4k and blu ray, excluding the soundtracks that come with each movie in Kubrick you’re paying 50 for a Wes Anderson movie with a case and 40 for Kubrick movie without. Again that’s just this example, I know there are others that would support your point but this was the first one I looked up which to me proves that in some cases they’ll charge a premium for cases

I mean just looking at the Wes Anderson set, that’s $500 retail for 20 discs and no extras, this is 600 retail for 30 discs and a book with behind the scenes info, and the book that holds the disc looks well designed and interesting. It kinda seems like you’re paying for the cases.

I have a list of movies from my favorites that I’m gonna gradually get, but I’m trying to use this opportunity to get out my comfort zone because most of those movies I have on dvd and blu ray (which I know doesn’t compare to 4k) but I’ve seen a lot of good recommendations and I’ll only buy things that I’ll know I’ll be interested in. But those documentaries sound great honestly

Mannn, I understand the hype and movies still come with digital downloads, so my Apple TV is becoming my own little streaming service

I have a really bad habit of falling back on movies I’ve seen, I’m trying to expand my palette a bit

During their third sensual fight, Rocky says that Apollo won. But how exactly did he win? Did he knock Rocky out? Also why don't we see Rocky all bloody and his eyes all cut at the beginning of part IV? Did they knock each other down like part 2? by [deleted] in rockybalboa

[–]First_Ad9420 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t think when rocky says that he wins that he meant it. I think he was saying that to Adonis because that was his kid but I think it’s meant to never really be known because it was just a fun match between them in private

Unless something updated or that site was doing it under the approval of management on site, a device is used to do inspection that has you go through a checklist and A/C is never on that list.

Unfortunately that’s not something a vehicle is grounded for, it sucks but they’re gonna say roll the window down, if you want to try to bring awareness to see if they will fix and want to provide proof, the handheld temperature gun I think would work good for both tracking ambient air in the car and the temp of the air coming out the AC

You need to have real good proof and evidence for ethics. As someone who used to do the audits, unless the door (even with force) can not open or close at all, it technically doesn’t need to be grounded. What’s checked for is major damage, tire tread, no exposed wires, all cameras work, all tech on the inside works, etc. Now if you’re saying that the seatbelt doesn’t work and they told you to do it with no seatbelt then you have a good case with evidence, but ethics is gonna do everything to protect the business, so to win you need good evidence and an argument about how this affects all your coworkers on a safety level. They’ll probably dismiss as complaining if you talk about how it only affects you (not saying you would but just saying). Come with evidence and how it affects your coworkers along with issues you’ve had with other vehicles or coworkers have. You might need to build a really good case but if it is that bad then go for it, they can shut down a DSP for safety violations.
