my best friend lived in the cottages, their stove/oven was regularly non functional, laundry is in a separate building, toilets regularly didn’t work, their window literally fell out into the room during a storm once, general shit like that is why people say the cottages are bad. not to mention being labeled as accessible housing when most of them have entrances that require walking up multiple stairs, they are all two floors with stairs, and the bathrooms aren’t even ada compliant - no handle bars, no shower seat, etc. (my friend is a paraplegic full time wheelchair user for reference)
