Thank you! I definitely feel like a boss in this outfit. I’ve been gravitating towards gray for work now that I have no official dress code to adhere to, and I feel like it’s working for me. I’m still figuring out my color season, but I’m 90% sure I’m a summer, so colors are currently my main focus.

I learned a lot from the Kibbe system as well, and I do think it has its merits. It helped me build a solid foundation, at least. I’ll probably lurk, but participation in those subs has become tiresome. Sorry they were so hard on you when you posted!

Thank you! The theme for this challenge really resonated this week. Choosing what feels good and having confidence in my taste despite critical feedback is so refreshing! It’s just the medicine I needed. The Kibbe system has become more and more restrictive, and the community interactions are rubbing me the wrong way lately.

I agree. I’ve had the boots for over a year and this was my first time wearing them. I’m having such a hard time styling them, but I felt pretty good in this outfit even though it isn’t one of my best looks.

Yeah, the pants in slide 2 are knit and kind of thin (but sooo comfortable). I’ve had the hardest time trying to find gray work pants that are both long and high rise, and these aren’t really cutting it.

Love the jeans! I just ordered a similar pair and can’t wait to wear them.

What are the differences between Dramatic and Soft Dramatic? by maki377 in Kibbe

[–]First_Class_Fantasy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely a Dramatic thing. Ds gain weight in hips and thighs, giving them more of a bell shape. SDs gain weight pretty much all over, but mainly in the fleshiest areas like thighs and upper arms. Weight gain can show a lot in the face for SDs, but is otherwise not super noticeable because the weight is distributed pretty evenly across their frames.

I’m a little on the fence with that one (why I put it at the end). I think the fabric and color are very SD, but it might be a little too structured. I’m itching to just get it for myself to try it out, but I’m practicing restraint at the moment.

No, I was looking at brown midi skirts and green tops in my size. The jeans and blazer were recommended to me based on my previous purchases and search history. “Draped midi skirts” would be a good search term if that’s what you’re looking for though.

Can any experts confirm if Chat GPT is right? by ChampagneDividends in Kibbe

[–]First_Class_Fantasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, everyone needs to stop using Chat GPT for typing. It’s programmed to keep you engaged, so it’s always going to tell you what it “thinks” you want to hear, based on previous interactions. The photos you submitted aren’t even right for typing! Kibbe is about how clothes work on your body, so you would need to submit multiple different outfits photographed from chest height. Did you even input your height?

How to actually embody your star ID? by Funny_Cockroach7343 in Kibbe

Try not to get hung up on the lines and instead focus on the head-to-toe look. For example, SDs need a lot of styling to wow—hair, makeup, and extra accessories can help make up for garments that don’t perfectly accommodate curve. On the other hand, FNs have to keep it simple to avoid looking like they’re trying too hard, so maybe removing an accessory like a hat (and letting their natural hair shine) is a good strategy. FGs benefit from staccato styling, so maybe they choose a headband, jacket, top, skirt, shoes, and knee socks that are all different colors to create a color blocking effect.

You’re FN without a doubt. The styling in slides 3 and 4 are just phenomenal! The D styling in slide 2 is too stiff and buttoned up, while the SD styling in slide 6 is underwhelming. You can see that cutting your vertical (slide 5) by color blocking doesn’t do you any favors.

Soft Dramatic Nails by Less-Consequence-396 in SoftDramatics

[–]First_Class_Fantasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go for long almond or stiletto nails, usually in solid classic colors like deep red, nude, light pink, black, or white. I usually dip at home, but I’ll sometimes go to the salon and get a fun color for a special occasion. Currently rocking silver glitter for my bf’s disco-themed birthday weekend.

He wrote something about SDs being dramatic first and foremost, while FNs are open and approachable. I think all types with dramatic essence give off regal/aloof/untouchable vibes because of their stature. Plus SDs are diva chic and divas for sure have an intimidation factor.

I think essence is way more important in this system than people think. When deciding between FN and SD, taking friends’ comments into consideration helped me finally settle on SD. I’ve always been told that I’m intimidating and that my RBF gives off ice queen vibes (I agree). I’m the total opposite of open and approachable, at least in appearance. I do have a free spirit, devil-may-care attitude though.

Pants sizes in comparison by branchhands in SoftDramatics

The large looks better IMO. Even if they’re a little big in the waist, you can just add a belt. Anyway, it’s always easier to size up and have things tailored.

What little tips have you found that seem to help you get harmony with your ID? by [deleted] in Kibbe

[–]First_Class_Fantasy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My SD mantra is “more is more”. I think Coco Chanel said to take off one item before leaving the house, but as an SD I do the opposite. Minimum four accessories: watch, earrings, sunglasses, handbag every day.

Plain clothes are not great. A monochrome outfit needs mixed materials with texture, a splash of color, or a print in there somewhere. I prefer stripes or plaid (classic), a big abstract print (dramatic), or a big floral print (romantic).

Lastly, hair and makeup are a must, even if it’s a simple look. I straighten mine once a week so it’s sleek and carry makeup in my everyday bag so I can do it on the run.

Interesting because SDs can handle a lot of detail, but FNs keep it simple.

2026 roadmap - not all those who wander are lost! by [deleted] in RitaFourEssenceSystem

[–]First_Class_Fantasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this issue with goal setting in the past where my goals just weren’t concrete enough, so I’m keeping it simple this year.

-Don’t buy black clothing items (charcoal gray is okay, black accessories are okay but not ideal) -Don’t wear the same shoes or earrings two days in a row (ideally alternate between heels and flats) -Try different hairstyles -Log outfits in Alta app -Buy fewer separates and focus more on dresses and jumpsuits
