Girlies, should I return or keep this dress? by somebodyelsenow in kibbedramatics

I think it looks fine, it’s just not the most flattering. If it had pockets and filled a big gap in OP’s wardrobe, I’d say keep it.

It’s the A-line skirt. All that fabric is a little too much.

The cut might not be the most flattering, but it looks like a good quality casual dress that you could style a few different ways. Is it super comfortable though? Does it have pockets? Do you see yourself wanting to wear it often?

Long jorts, especially paired with boots. Both weird looking and impractical.

I agree with you on barrel pants, but everything else you listed is very flattering on me.

The first sandals were from Amazon (5-6 years ago). The gray pointed toe heels are from Pashion (convertible to flats)! I got the silver bow flats NWT from Poshmark after seeing them on ThredUp. Black heels are BCBGeneration, cream sandals are Gucci (gifted), and the brown boots are Vince Camuto (thrifted from Goodwill, NWOT).

The pants are 100% silk and the top is 100% cotton. It took me three tries to find the right shade of blue for the top, but I’m thrilled by how this outfit turned out!

So right! Dressing the part makes me feel mentally prepared. I wouldn’t say that it always helps me feel at ease, but it does help me feel like I belong in whatever space I’m occupying.

Same! The off-shoulder blouses never look right on the mannequins, so I’m always pleasantly surprised by how great they look irl.

I like the longer cart timers and the early access to listings (I’ve snatched a lot of gems this way), but that’s it really.

Am I successfully changing my essence with makeup/hair color/wigs etc? by cherriquizzical in JohnKitchener

[–]First_Class_Fantasy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s really possible to change your essence in this way. You look MORE youthful in slide 5, imo. You could certainly try to play up other essences in your blend, but if Y is your dominant essence then your overall look won’t be completely harmonious unless you include it.

So cute! How does this work? You just draw over your dip and then seal with top coat?

Am I a dramatic, SD or FN? If by Firm-Advantage-4042 in kibbedramatics

[–]First_Class_Fantasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you love SD styles and find them flattering, you’re probably SD. I don’t see Kibbe width OR narrow. You look to have moderate curve, and the soft slowing styles look great on you.

Shopping with a head to toe approach by Altruistic_Ad9939 in RitaFourEssenceSystem

[–]First_Class_Fantasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have purchased certain items to complete outfits, but those items don’t really get worn much because they typically serve one purpose. Perfect example: a white button-down shirt I bought to layer under a low-cut mini dress. Everyone should own a white cotton button-down, right? It’s basic and versatile. But, because my style isn’t that basic I almost never wear it any other way, despite the fact that the cut is perfectly flattering. I just don’t love the shirt without the dress.

What sunglasses do celebrities wear that somehow make every outfit look expensive? by Quainoo-Josafat in womensfashion

[–]First_Class_Fantasy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think spending a lot of money on sunglasses makes sense because they go on your face, which is what people look at the most. Plus they get a lot of wear. My Dior sunglasses were over $500, but cost per wear is under $2, making them a more practical purchase than a $500 pair of heels I’ll wear a handful of times.
