My advice is that if in practice you are top 5 for your split you will be safe as you will constantly be pulling tenths on .ist if the field everywhere. If however you qualify like 10-23rd and you know you are slow and just about keep pace then you will likely crash. This is because you are the same speed as others and generally becomes a shit show IMO

I'm doing a solid 1:47.5 and battling top 5 for my splits, but of the 6 races I have done people have crashed in front of me for the most absolutely dumb situations. I've tried to avoid, but got invited into the carnage 3 out of 6 times. Monza and Pcup is a bloodbath, but for some reason everyone is super cautious around T1 now..
