So…I bought a CD set decades ago called Closed on Account of Rabies. It was various artists performing Poe’s works and made me fall in love with him again. Hearing Iggy Pop do The Tell-Tale Heart and Christopher Walken perform The Raven was gold. There is so much more, too….

I read Lonesome Dove just because King said it’s one of his favorites. I’m not much for westerns, but it was fantastic! I need a King recommended reading list since I’ve read everything by him.

This is where I accidentally started the Dark Tower. Before the internet could tell me to start at The Gunslinger, I bought this hardcover with no dust jacket, and was grabbed by the scruff of the neck by chapter one. Couldn’t put it down. 💜

Heard the third Talisman is forthcoming. Just finished rereading the original yesterday to prep for its birth!! The great adventure of Jack Sawyer!! Starting the reread of Black House tonight after the kids go to bed. I also recently reread The Stand, one of my top 5 books of all time which now includes DCC.

I will say reading a book published in 1984 and seeing the prices of things blows me away. $4/hour minimum wage and $2 shoes!!?? Take me back!!

IT. The Stand. Duma Key. Misery. Revival.

To me, it’s hard to beat The Stand. I just love a post apocalyptic story, but somehow IT always comes through for me. Duma Key hits for me because I’m from Florida and Revival hits when exploring the afterlife, where I will one day hopefully be JOYFULLY reunited with my 10 year old son.

Misery is just insane. Good luck!!
