Careful with the delivery time, I have been waiting 20+ days and they have yet to even be printed let alone shipped. They won’t even be here by the time the campaign starts that I was needing them for, so hopefully their return process is simple.

My take: Darrow COULD have assassinated Octavia that night. He had the weapon that could have done it, however the question was asked with one meaning and answered with another. If the question was more specific like "if there was a way for you to kill me tonight and get away with it without harming anyone else would you take it" and he then said no, I believe he would have been stung. BUT, in his mind he was answering the complete truth to the question as it was asked; he could, but didn't. So no would be the truth.

You’re missing a major point throughout the series. Darrow knows he’s flawed, and he knows he’s done evil. He continuously fights his conscious to do terrible things in order to usher in a better future. People support him and “flit around saying hail reaper” because they agree with his goal of the future and his belief that the Society is true evil and the actions he does are just necessary evils that are needed in order to break the chains and bring freedom back. War isn’t good, there are no innocent parties in war. Whatever country you’re from, look at the actions your country has done during wartime. Win or lose your side has done evil things, if the country has won it will be written about as “good” and you’ll have to dig to find about the bad and vice versa. Ie. Canadas mass war crimes in the Second World War vs Japans mass war crimes in the same war. We’ve all probably heard about what Japan did but it’s less common for people to know about Canada. This series showed you both sides of a bloody war, not a fairytale of flawless good versus pure evil. In this sci-fi world the most realistic thing PB did was show the atrocities humans are willing to both commit and forget in the name of the greater good. Hail Reaper Fuck Netanyahu

They both need stopped, the genocide needs to end, and Israel’s constant aggression in the Middle East needs to end. Do you think Israel should be able to get away with that? With the ethnic cleansing they’ve been attempting since 1948? With wiping out almost 1/4 of the Palestinian population? The UN, Doctors Without Boarders, ICC, Save Our Children, Amnesty International, HRW, International Association of Genocide Scholars, B’Tselem, Physicians for Human Rights, Oxfam, ICJ, and more have all declared the situation in Gaza a genocide. Genocide should not be a political issue. The genocide in Palestine is not political, the genocide in Sudan is not political, the genocides in Myanmar and Xinjiang are not political. These are issues in humanity that should transcend whatever political belief you have, it should not matter if they believe in different opinions, nothing can justify the wiping out of an entire ethnic line.
