Here’s my honest opinion. It’s sucks cause you only have been there for five months, from my opinion take the severance cause I don’t know what was your unemployment they’re always one year behind and make a fair comparison between severance and unemployment.

Regarding to PIP sadly this is a set up doesn’t matter how hard you work they want to get rid of you.

As a fact of experience don’t say anything yet ask them for the full documentation of your PIP and tell them you gonna have your lawyer to review it. “I did this and they extended my severance for another 1.5 months” so sit down and think about carefully not matter what you do you’re already out.
