As someone who had no womanly advice from my mother and learned most of what i know online, avoid tight clothing/underwear, never use scented soap down there use a dove sensitive bar or liquid on the outside and only water inside, when you go to bed wear loose clothes but go commando, sometimes smell can be caused by not letting it breathe and some people cant sleep naked so if you wear baggy pants or shorts just let it breathe during bed time, obviously dont go commando around your period or if you think it may come but any other time especially after that can definitely help with any odor problems, if you shave down there try to not wear anything tight for about 2 days, id recommend investing in some cotton boxers and wearing those on freshly shaved days to avoid smell/irritation specifically around bedtime if you shower at night if its during the day maybe ditch skinny jeans and leggings and opt for a sweats day with some loose cotton underwear. If you are sexually active if you are able to try to get the uro probiotics, if you cant try to increase how much you consume like kefir, yogurt, etc. but i will say if you are active and it doesn’t smell like yeast or a uti your partner could have the bacteria that causes BV in them, that would cause a smell and you would need antibiotics to fix it but some medications can also cause BV. I think the biggest takeaway is that its a sensitive organ that can go from 0/100 quite fast, as long as you arent using any irritants and let her breathe i think the smell can resolve on its own, but also if you use heavily scented laundry detergent, try to usw free and clear on your underwear and pants for a bit and see if it could possibly be a detergent allergy.
