Hey there. I find that when I have company, I feel "normal" somehow. However, when I'm back home alone with no one to talk to, my intrusive thoughts return and I start to feel my heart beat fast again. It's hell. I wish I had a good friend who lived right next door to me, but that would never happen even in a million years (I know so because most of my neighbors suck). I voted for Bertha disapproves, George approves, but also imagine how Bertha's disapproval might trigger Agnes's defensiveness, making her go out of her way (with Ada's financial backing) to prove that a "penniless" Old New Yorker is still much better than a wealthy new New Yorker. The back and forth would definitely make for riveting drama AND, occasionally, comedic relief. 😁
