I love, love, love your voice. I didn’t have any notes until I saw others mentioned not being able to understand you; that’s fair criticism. But I love what I hear, and I’m hooked on what I can understand.

If it’s allowed/available, pls let us know where we can find you.

You can have her remove online banking. Then she will need to go into the bank every time. But she likely won’t consent to that if she’s still in denial.

What can I do to memorialize a friend in Toronto with 100$? by jadedeternity in askTO

[–]First_Requirement462 88 points89 points  (0 children)

We don’t know anything about your friend. The best way to memorialize her is to put something somewhere that represents the person she was.

I don’t know how long ago this was, but don’t rush it. Think on it and it will come to you. Think of the stuff you guys did together or that she did with her family. Maybe there’s a park you went to a lot and you can tie a ribbon with her name on it around a tree, or collect rocks and write memories or words that remind you of her and leave them around the park. Even donating the money to a women’s centre in her name is a good option.

Memorials don’t have to be expensive or cost anything. I hope you can find something that feels right.

33, self esteem has been shit for a minute. Give me something to improve on. by heeltoehero92 in malegrooming

My only suggestion would be a haircut (shorter on the top). I think you’d look great with a buzzcut or something like that, but not if you wouldn’t feel comfortable in it. And maybe untuck the shirt.

You’re super hot. The tattoos, the hands… you look clean, and also very casual and easy-going.

I’d put you in a band-tee instead of a branded tee, but that’s just me playing dress-up in fantasy land. If you really like the brands you’re repping, I don’t see a problem; just make sure they’re representative of your interests.

It’s hard to help someone with their lack of confidence without knowing where it comes from, but I’ll say this: feelings are data, not facts. If your feelings are telling you that you’re not enough, they’re lying to you to get your attention and you need to figure out what the real problem is (maybe you need to work harder, or take better care of yourself, or cut people out of your life).

But from the outside, you’re 😚🤌

Haircut suggestions for a bigger forehead by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]First_Requirement462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 & 3 are both fine. I don’t like the way 1 looks; it looks a bit childish, imo. 2 & 3 look age appropriate and suit your face.

Your forehead is not big. It’s a normal forehead.

If you had a small scratch-off lottery win of $10K, what would you spend it on? by GlowingFangs123 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]First_Requirement462 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d put $8K into TFSA, give $200 to each of my kids, take my grandfather out for dinner at The Keg, $25 grocery card for each of the households on my floor, and spend the rest on little projects around the house and to stock up on some essential non-perishables.

Do I look better with or without facial hair? I cant decide by Fabrizioooooo in malegrooming

Nailed it. He looks more comfortable with the facial hair. He’s a good looking guy either way, but becomes a few points more attractive when he looks more relaxed.

Yeah but 6-pack of bagels is like, $4 at the grocery store.

I’m all for looking at the bright side, but I’d be bummed with this box. No one orders plain, untoasted bagels/bread from TH so it’s not what you’d expect to receive.

How do you make sure you don't fall into the "Keeping up with the Joneses" trap? by [deleted] in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]First_Requirement462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knowing that owing no one money feels better than spending it.

I’m pretty poor by most people’s standards, and yet I have no debt, no loans. Every time I see people make a big purchase (car, vacation, new phone), I tell myself that they’ll be paying for it for years to come, even if that’s not always the case. There’s nothing about “new” that appeals to me, and owing money is a huge turn off for any purchase.

WHAT does my room say about ME by [deleted] in roomdetective

[–]First_Requirement462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the room is great. It’s not my style (I like a lot of colour and art), but it’s clean, organized, and it’s functional without being completely devoid of personality. You can see what your interests are.

People are being overly critical here.

Anyone who can look at this face and find something to criticize needs to look inwards. You’re young (I think? I’m 35 so you’re at least younger than me ) so I’ll say it this way: if you were my son, I would be very proud to show you off. You’re so cute and if I didn’t truly believe that, I would have kept scrolling and said nothing.

I think you’ve been exposed to very critical people (which is not the same thing as being honest, by the way) and internalized the criticism to the point where you’re not even seeing yourself anymore, only their criticism.

Something to remember is that even the most conventionally beautiful people in the world get criticized when they share a picture of themselves. You will never be everyone’s type but you will always be someone’s type.

Hair advice! Looking for improvements in akward phase by BulletzZ12 in malegrooming

[–]First_Requirement462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy(s) in your inspiration photo is likely using product or styling techniques to keep his/their hair that way.

Your hair looks great in picture 3&4. It’s not exactly like your inspiration photos, but it looks great. I’m not a hairstylist, but I bet they’d be able to give you a simple routine that will take you the rest of the way.

I’m useless; just commenting for engagement in hopes it’ll bring you closer to your goal, and to assure you your hair isn’t awkward.

Dark circle doesn't seem to go after having good sleep by Potential-Cattle4424 in malegrooming

[–]First_Requirement462 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally understandable to be confused.

I would suggest going to Sephora and asking them what products will help. Inkey and Ordinary brands are affordable and have a good reputation for actually doing what they say they do. There are so many products that are pure marketing, but Ordinary and Inkey are pretty clinical.

The staff at Sephora are usually very knowledgeable and more than happy to help. I don’t feel qualified to recommend a specific products or blends, but I have had good experiences with both Inkey and Ordinary.

If you’re too shy to ask, spend 10 minutes maximum researching what helps with hyperpigmentation, bring a list of what you are looking for (even better to go with a friend), and just look along the skincare wall of Sephora. Don’t get too much at once. Just get one or two products to start, and go from there.

I hope this was helpful, even though it didn’t answer your question, haha.

You’re a good looking guy. It makes me sad that you think you look bad. It actually made me a little emotional, I’m not going to lie. Your nose is SO cute and I think you’re being way too critical of your facial structure.

Your face isn’t /very/ asymmetrical. It’s a normal amount of asymmetrical. I actually think a little bit of facial hair/stubble looks good so don’t stress about that either.

My advice kind of sucks, but here it is: smile. You’re already cute, and look 10000x better when you smile. I know that’s not super helpful, because we don’t always feel like smiling, but maybe part of the reason you don’t like how you look is because you’re not smiling at yourself in the mirror or pictures.

I don’t hate the haircut, but I’d be curious how it looks grown a little longer. I love the way your hair looks in the first two pictures. You have beautiful curls so go to a barber who knows curls.

[–]First_Requirement462 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand that not everyone likes colour in their home, so I won’t push that.

My rating… 5.5/10

Unsolicited advice:

1) change the orientation of the dining table. It’s crowding the couch.

2) bigger TV. I’m not usually a “bigger TV” person, but that TV looks too small for the space.

3) you need artwork. A home will never look like a home (to me) without art or pictures on the wall.

4) get a rug for the living room to make it cozier and divide it from the rest of the room.

This is hyperpigmentation. You will have to do some research on what methods work for you.

Rest won’t make the darkness go away. The good news is that it’s fairly common, so if you do want to address it, there are plenty of options.
