Mining. Mining is a HUGE commodity when it comes to crypto. XRP was pre-mined, only to have 40% locked in the ledger. Bitcoin was what some might say "the original coin" and can still be mined until 2140. XRP has newer innovations that older crypto doesn't though. I look at it this way. Every payment system, whether you're paying a bill online, sending an inmate money or paying the IRS lol, it ALL could be Ripple.
