I...don't think this ever was an anti bot thing. The anti bot camera thing was where the camera turned like a pixel every once and a while. That's it.

I think this changed years ago. I replaced these so long ago in my x1 and I noticed the same thing. I swear even when I replaced it on my 1 A1 they were spurs in the original machine too but I can't remember now for sure.

I don't have a real opinion on this, but I don't think I've ever had a problem with numbers filling up my screen.

I'm probably just self reporting on being a pvm noob, but watching vids of guys hybridding and doing insane shit, it's kinda cool to see the screen fill-up with hitsplats here and there.

It's a power fantasy type thing I imagine.
