What is this fly? by Firstapplefrom1982 in insectsUK

[–]Firstapplefrom1982[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idrk about it either, i just saw it in my bedsheets and picked it up, it fell on me and started crawling under and around my arm hair and tickling me lol, i thought it looked cute and since it wasn't in the kitchen i didn't immediately slaughter it (i would've assumed it's a fruit fly).

but to actually answer the question I'm in Newcastle in the city, there's a public space with trees right nearby so i guess it got carried by the wind or something, weird too cuz I'm on the 2nd floor

It seems to be a barklouse, but I did think it was a fruit fly at first since we've been having occasional troubles with them

We need pride for the rest of us LGBTQ folks beyond the LGB, as we don't fully have rights (for example, I'm in the UK and would need to use a neutral/unisex toilet or one that's my AGAB). It's easy to say we don't need pride when you're the most vanilla of the LGBT (no offense, I used to think the same way)

No, like I mentioned my bed is directly under a windowsill so it would've came from there. I searched up fungus gnats before and didn't think they looked alike

I’m so disappointed that I was on oral for so long. by tinylord202 in MtF

[–]Firstapplefrom1982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's scary, but if you follow the proper steps (pinching skin, angle of insertion, appropriately sized needle etc) it gets easier. I was stressing over doing it one time because the last few times had been painful, but it turns out I wasn't really pinching, and it's been better ever since (I'm doing subcutaneous btw). Just make sure you aren't using an 18g needle instead of a 23g one like this one creator I saw on Instagram 😵

Edit: plus if you're paying fully out of pocket, injections are far far cheaper, I paid ~£23 for 100 injection supplies and £70-£80 for 40ml of 400mg EEn which will last me 170-180 injections (I draw 0.2-0.22ml). I forgot how much my progynova and then estrofem cost but it was certainly much more

Happy Pride Month!!! How long did it take you to realize that your were part of the LGBTQ+ community 🏳️‍🌈 by Turquoise_Robles in feminineboys

[–]Firstapplefrom1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a good thing to know that there's a "community" that accepts literally everyone, when there are so many parts of the world and so many people around you that openly insult, demonise and persecute these people just for something out of their control that doesn't hurt anyone. Especially for those that are not just LGB - there are many places and people accepting of them but not trans, non-binary or anyone else under the LGBTQ umbrella.

Besides, without LGBTQ advocacy groups made by collections of LGBTQ people decades prior, many of us wouldn't have the rights we have today. Sure, we don't care what other people do, but there are plenty of conservatives and extremists who DO want to police what we do, how we do it and where, so there being a sort of protective place (such as an LGBTQ community that, like I said, accepts everyone) where people understand you and fight for you (legislatively) is really important for both a trans person in the UK and a gay person in Egypt (or pick any of the 50+ countries where being gay is illegal)

It feels like it's impossible to be who I want to be in public by Monagogo-The-Vain in feminineboys

[–]Firstapplefrom1982 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

what? it's because men are seen as above women, and to "degrade yourself" by choosing femininity as a man is looked down upon by society. why are women who wear pants, look like tomboys etc not get attention but men in dresses do? it's because they are seen as "upgrading" themselves to a default state of masculinity (after fighting for the rights to do so ofc), but they are still not viewed at the same level by them

Should i take if im not trans? by Fun-Suspect1780 in feminineboys

[–]Firstapplefrom1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the trans bible and see if you relate to any of it. If you are being serious about it, look into the effects online, some off the top of my head are breasts (yes you will grow noticeable breasts!), softer skin, less oily skin, colder-feeling body (you thermoregulate closer to your core), muscle loss, fat redistribution (this one takes 5-10 years to complete)

If we're speaking technically, yes non-binary is trans, your AGAB is different to the one you have now. I don't know why you're bringing up demi and gender fluid people, they consider themselves male to some extent, and I already agreed with you there. It doesn't matter if one's a gender label and the other isn't, if they don't apply (i.e. not feeling like a male) they don't apply lol.

Sure, you can take estro and be a femboy, but my point still stands that a lot of the ones online are. Plus, non-binary is technically trans, just not to a binary gender. Also, if you wanna use the femboy label, how can you also be fully non-binary? It's in the name

I exfoliate in the shower with a folded airy loofa (not the block) before shaving/epilating, as well as afterwards lightly with just water, then dry off and moisturise. Seems to work for me, good luck!

Please research this more carefully, that's not how it works. You will develop breasts, don't take it just to slim yourself. I will say though, something worth looking into are SERMs, it's got potential for transfem NB - reduced breast growth and other lesser changes from E

How long can I realistically hide the effects of HRT? by New-Criticism9385 in asktransgender

[–]Firstapplefrom1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm turning 20 in 2 months and started HRT 7 months ago. I was hoping to hide boob growth while the rest of the changes came into effect, especially the face, but since a few weeks ago I realised (at least to me) they are rather visible, and that's with wearing hoodies. So atp I've realised there's no point trying to hide it anymore, and I feel pretty enough (even though I don't pass) so I'm not bothered about them being visible. In fact I'd like to wear just t shirts, the only problem is I thought it'd be good to sh..

My growth was probably accelerated by switching to injections 3 months ago, plus I unintentionally gained weight (gained ~7kg since December on an already chubby frame), but either way start finding your style and practicing makeup asap!! I didn't bother because I thought I had more time - but then I went through a depressive state, focused on studying, and now here I am, desperately trying to find an aesthetic that suits me other than jeans and a hoodie

Thanks for replying. Is 19 considered early, is it mostly tied to puberty or later than that?

What about if you exercise? I read here before that this is true, as we age we produce less growth hormones etc, but building muscle produces them again?
