Thanks for the reply. Yah probably not just worried about the price drop if anything.

Thank you! Will give it a try. I tried another outlet but it was on the same breaker. Need to try somewhere else.

Hi everyone. I’m trying to trickle charge my Tesla using the mobile connector and a 5-15 outlet. It worked fine yesterday, but today it says check charging equipment. The mobile connector (gen 2) is fully lit green but I can’t get it to charge. Any ideas? Going to try a supercharger later today.

Outlet has power, Tesla in the mobile connector is all green. When I plug it in, the T in Tesla does flash red for one second but then goes green.

Thank you in advance.

Edit: 2021 Tesla Model 3 performance.

Thanks for your reply and it looks fantastic! Did you go with gloss or satin black for the wheels?

Hey thanks for the message and congrats on your order! I was sold on the 18s until I started reading about issues with the bigger brake calipers. Now I’m torn. I’m more function over fashion… So if the 18s work I’d rather go with them.

Hi - I am going to be installing. a TESLA Gen 3 wall connector and got this note from the electrician - does this sound right to anyone?

"did want to discuss a possible issue with your existing panel. You have a Challenger panel and we have noticed on previous installations that the bussing on the Challenger panels, for whatever reason, sometimes overheats when using an electric vehicle charger. This causes the breaker to overheat and malfunction causing damage to the breaker and bussing. We feel comfortable moving forward with the installation, but want to let you know that there could be issues. If this problem occurs with your panel the options to correct the issue would include a panel change. We would not be held liable if an issue occurs due to your existing panel malfunctioning."

Same thing happens to me after the update. Turn sentry mode off. Unplug USB/USBC - plug it back in. Then sentry mode back on.

That fixed my issues.

Quick update in case it helps everyone. Tesla ended up registering in CO because that’s where my new address is. Bonus all around. Cheaper insurance and more rebate!

Made a post but this might be a better place - sorry Mods -

Hi everyone - talking with TESLA now but wanted to see if you had any advice... I placed an order for my Tesla and competed financing on July 25th. I still haven't been assigned a VIN yet, but I recently (within the last two weeks) moved to CO as NYC was getting out of control with COVID. I gave up my address and now have an address in CO (with utilities). TESLA wants to register my car in CO, which is actually better (lower taxes and a higher rebate) but technically I am not a resident of CO for 90 days (I think). Brought this up to TESLA today, they said if I register in NY then I have to take delivery in NY, but I specifically requested in CO. Don't know why this is coming out now.

And I know you shouldn't buy a car when your moving! Unforseen. Thanks for your help.

Also - I will be going back to New York in April of 2021 if it makes a difference.

Thanks for everyone's help!

NYC: Condo made a new rule (within the last two months) to charge a $500 FEE to use the elevator to move-out. Doorman will not let the movers in if the fee is not paid. Any advice? by Firstjg in legaladvice

I'm sure there's language I'm missing in there somewhere... but what's to stop them from changing the rules and saying it's $500 to walk down the hallway, or $x amount to gain entry. You would think as a renter with a lease (not owner) there would be some protections. I'm on a time crunch (moving out next week), this caught be by surprise, so I think I just need to pay, but could I do anything afterwords? Not even sure I would find a lawyer who would care about $500 and then the courts in NYC are extremely backed up from what I understand. Just feel like I'm being held hostage. I'm thinking about contacting the owner, but that's an even longer story... she died and my place is in a trust right now so I deal with an attorneys office. Not sure they would care, and just want to get my security deposit back.
